SUPER easy to tame when you have dodo kibble, I tamed a level 180 using only 8 dodo kibble.

They are good at Pvp if they get a good health and steam

In the newer versions of ark don't fly to close to raptors they may knock off

These are pretty self explanatory when taming, but the reason for taming is that it lets you take to the sky at a low level. Once you're airborne, you're pretty much invincible, save for argentavis encounters.

If you want to leave your tames on wadering in a pen, you don’t have to worry about ptéranodons escaping, they won’t fly away, they will just walk

I don't know, but I seem to get a decent amount of Prime Meat with Pteranodons. Might be just me or ARK Mobile though. That said, you might want to give it a try.

Spawn on rag highlands northeast tame a horse and get narc arrows harvest whales for a saddle

GREAT TAME for early game. The second you have Tranq arrows hit them with one they will fall after a bit and then feed them a ton of raw meet and have some kind of narcotics or biotoxin on you to keep it unconscious but once it’s tamed(about 15 minutes) it makes for a good attacker. Now make sure the follow distance is low and make sure to have raw meat and biotoxin when taming but given there ability to not get eaten because they fly they make great tames early game

Dont let anything hurt your dino well your taming it or it won't gain as much levels

To the slim amount on mobile, use a soothing balm on it. It makes it so much easier

After you knock it out, starve it to about 870 food is left, then feed it about 18 or more food (probably depends on the level)it will eat the food almost instantly and it will get tamed in seconds after this.

Use a bola and beat it senseless

If you dont want to wait for their food and have an easy trap at the same time, do this: (usable at any lvl of the tame garanteed)

1. Bola and K.O. the pteranodon

2. Collect wood from surrounding trees

3. Put a wood pillar where the ptera is, then 5 thatch roofs ontop that looks like a cross

4. Put wooden railings under the roofs outlining the roofs

5. Trap is done, wake up ptera to test if he can escape (he shouldnt be able to, tested it even on inclined terrain)

6. Sleep nearby while he’s awake (brings his food to zero when you wake up)

7. Quickly K.O. Before his food is replenished, put kibble/meat

8. And done, to destroy the trap just remove the pillar (it should all go down if you destroy just the pillar)

How to tame a PT at a low level:

1. Find the PT you want, make sure it is not a extremely high level or Ty e process may take longer

2.Use bolas, you may need a few extra invade it breaks lose

3.Wack it with a Club or use a slingshot

4.Stuff meat down its throat, it eats most meats, also bring Narcotics just in case it is almost awake

5. You now have your own PT

(Saddle requires around 250 hide, 50 Keratin, and 170 fiber)

Do do dex says its torpor drain is low, but its wrong! Its torpor drain is high. The torpor drains fast, and I mean fast.. So bring bio toxin if you are planning to tame.

To tame a ptera you need a Bola a slingshot (if its high lvl then use tranq arrows learned at lvl 21) then put meat w narcoberries if it's high lvl use basic kibble and nice you tamed your first flier now for the saddle. The saddle lvl is at lvl 38 to make the saddle you will need around 100 - 200 hide 75 - 80 chitin or keratinand some fiber and now you have a great mount up this if u find it helpful and thats so beginners can see.

If on a pvp server, avoid picking higher level players, as journeyman shotguns can kill even a perfect tamed 150 in 2 or 3 hits. RIP my perfect 150 on official🥲

I tamed a level 30 pteranodon when I was level 9

All I did was bola, punch and then gave it 14 fish meat, 1 cooked prime and some normal meat. It literally tamed in a couple of seconds
