Fast mount, awful stamina, exact opposite of the argentavis.

A slingshot and a bola is all you need, I tamed a 130 with just that and a spear, make sure you go to ragnarok and tame it with mutton if you have no kibble

Make sure to throw your bola (if you are going to use one) with very precise accuracy

To tame a P.T (pteranodon) use bola and tranq or sling shot it I recommend you to complete the dilo quest and get mastercraft bow if your in mobile, if your in mobile tranq it, and put meat in, or dodo kibble/prime meat. If you want it extremely quick get a soothing balm from tributing the artifact of the hunter

I found a high level pteranodon and shot tranq arrows and feed it meat and tamed it!

I tamed a level 30 pteranodon when I was level 9

All I did was bola, punch and then gave it 14 fish meat, 1 cooked prime and some normal meat. It literally tamed in a couple of seconds

Find the highest level one you can find, bola it and shoot it in the head with darts/arrows. Just be careful since their health is a bit low. Their torpor rate is a little quick but as long as you have some narcotics on hand, you should be good to go. Prime meat tames it faster so the less likely you’ll have to shove extra narcotics down its throat. Be wary of your surroundings too because every carnivore wants to kill them so be ready to protect your Pteranodon while it’s knocked out. It’ll be yours in no time. Good luck!

Honestly I think the combat capabilities of the Pteranodon is underrated. On mobile these guys actually makes a double hit every time they attack, so even though their base damage is 15 (a bit lower than an Argy’s 18), they have much better DPS than argys. They are also much more nimble than argys. I’ve been to dead island many times before on my pteranodon (lvl 240) and have never been pulled off by a raptor, cuz whenever I see one of them is about to pounce I just press forward and I’m 50 yards outside of the raptor’s attack range. When I went there with my argy (also lvl 240) for the first time I immediately got yeeted off cuz the argy is too slow to get out of the way. I survived (barely) thanks to my full set ascendent flak or chitin armour. The pteranodon’s barrel roll attack is also very strong, cuz you do like 3 times the base damage to anything in your path and you speed up drastically so you can get out of the attack range of the baddies you’re fighting in a split second. I tamed the argy thinking it was gonna replace my pteranodon, now my argy’s only use is as a cargo plane.

They are not completely scared of you if you take his egg they will chase you and being a pterosaur (flying reptile) they are very hard to escape though its not as bad as stealing a trike egg my pteranodons Jurassic Triassic and the other pteranodon I didn't name yet killed it and got me some hide and meet so if you really want a pteranodon egg just tame a female pteranodon

The pteranodon is a good flyer until you can get your hands on a better flyer.

How to tame a pteranodon:

1 - get bola

2 - find pteranodon

3 - bola pteranodon

4 - knock out pteranodon

5 - place meat, narcotics and berries

Boom now you have a pteranodon

While trying to tame the unconscious bar will go down like normal, I found bio toxins to be the most useful to keep it unconscious. This will work for any animal but I found this to be the most helpful for this animal

I once killed a spino with a pte. I’m serious.

When i got the pte, i leveled his speed and stamina. One night while exploring i saw a spino in the river, hunting fish. Just for fun, i dove at it and attacked. Then i realised if i did this repeatedly, i could knock out/kill the spino without too many problems. So i did, and baited it to a bronto bc i took a lot of trample damage. The bronto got it to flee, and my pte chased it down. Eventually we pinned it against a rock and finished it off. Sadly though, my poor friend fell to a carno a few days later. R.I.P Fire 🥺🦇🔥

Always check STAMINA. Once I was flying mine when it ran out of stamina and fell into a bunch of terror birds

Keep it safe. I had 1 called Perry. I had a saddle on him. The moment I was about to ride him,I got distracted and an alpha raptor came and ate him up!
