If you want a pteranodon, please don’t use something insanely fancy or expensive. Is you use a longneck rifle for example and tranq darts on anything under level 25 chances that’s it’s gonna die first or second hit are higher than you might expect. Please just use a bow and tranq arrows. /\ so newbies see this =)

When I was noob i was having very fear of it no i kill them with fist 🤣

What I did, is follow it till it lands and throw a bola at it (I used three). Then shoot it in the head with tranq arrows. It took me about 20 arrows. But I'm in a special server so may take more. Feed it raw meat or fish is even better.they might release from the bola so be ready. I've tamed one and its killed three argentavis. And a few hyenas right after.

I killed many Rex with this so I'm farming prime meat

If you're taming a high lvl, just bola it and have two tranq arrows. A few narcs, and get prime or mutton. If it's low lvl, you could probably knock it out without a bola.

All around good mount. They are great for traveling, and if you get a well breed one they are bronto killers. They are also great for a slowing moving day in ARK. Pick up a tribe member and drop it into that mosasaureas mouth that you've been wanting to tame

To barrel roll on mobile tap the side of your screen with two fingers at the same time plz

Step one use a bola on it, hit it with a tranquilizer, dart or tranquilizer arrow then feed meet then you have to give all your points to stamina to fly longer

Favorite tame and easy to tame if you have a dodo a carrot and cooked meat and purple berries.put all this in cooking pot and add full water skin.then get a crossbow and tranq arrows and shoot on add the kibble and sleep stuff

If you’re taming a pteradon and waiting for it to starve out or haven’t begun raising its taming bar up, please put any Dinos you have with you on passive and guard this pteradon. I found a 290 pteradon and then my Rex killed it accidentally while taming because of some attacking ants. Then, I found another 290 pteradon but it got attacked by scorpions while I was gone and the taming efficiency is bad, so I gave up on it. I will slaughter all the scorpions.

Pteranodons are the fastest flyers on the island. (griffins rely on diving) a problem with pts are is they have horrible stamina, so when riding one always look around and choose a safe landing spot nearby so when you run out of stam you already have a spot to land.

These guys are extremely underated in combat.Just make dodo kibble(mobile) or feed them prime meat. Pick high levels one and breed them. I have my terrorist level 460 Pteranodon Imprinted 100%(I'm playing on hard mode mobile).If you do the flip thing it will deal 1K2 damage and you could take on any dino on Ark since the Attack is so fast as it move so you will never take any damage when played right.

Combine that with the spyglass bug on mobile will have you unbeatable. Just do the barrel roll attack and use spyglass in the middle of that. The damage could be multiply by 20+ times if you got a really good snap point to roll. Just abuse it and kill like 4 títan and Giga every time they spawned then you will find yourself +40 levels in just a week

I didn’t bola,two tranq arrows to the head boom it’s knocked out then put some fish meat there you have a very good flyer (also use soothing balm and do some fishing before you tame one)

Don’t steal a pteranodon’s egg or it will attack you

Who all thinks they should be able to attack when on the ground

To knock a Pteranodon I’d advise using bola so it doesn’t fly away and then knock it out with trank arrows or trank darts.
