Bola it on the legs it stops it from moving then club it until it’s unconscious then feed it lots of raw meat and narcotics

If u find an egg DO NOT pick it up the eggs are white with small light blue spots if u pick it up a hoard of them will come and kill u because they are so strong P.S I learned this the hard way

Yesterday, I tamed a 150 male and shortly after a 150 female. Both high health stats, high melee, stamina. I’m breeding them today, I should have a GOD pteranodon soon!

When you encounter this bird it is passive unless you take its egg. It's battle attacks are a spin attack and it does the most damage. The other one is a bite attack at it's not as effective. So when in battle do a spin attack to beat your foes.

They lack of stam, weight,health.pump these 3 it will be worth it

I just discovered my new favorite sport.

Step 1: Tame a pteranodon

Step 2: Pump all levels into movement speed

Step 3: Craft crossbow and grappling hooks

Step 4: Grapple to pteranodon

Step 5: Whistle “attack target” at anything

Step 6: Pull out pike and start jabbing at the air

Enjoy the ride as you are whipped in all directions, and occasionally hit your target!

Tip: Watch your health! This activity may result in being smashed to the ground several times!

If you want to tame one just bola it and then hit it with some Tranqs and feed it meat cooked meat or prime meat or cooked prime meat or simple kibble hope you got you pt

USE DODO KIBBLE. NOT MEAT. ITS SUPER EASY TO MAKE AND MADE MY PTERADON TAME TWICE AS FAST.

A good place to find and tame safely is herbivore island just make sure it's base-free on pvp servers

If you want to explore ark tame one but i prefer high lvl one cus its fast,high hp and weight it carries is only around 100kg -300kg but when lvled up it can be 400-600kg

used for exploring and finding creatures that are worthy

Do not ride one of these in red woods for your own good

Now I’m tellin you you have to be careful with the stamina where you land mine was killed by a Carno cos I had to land. So upgrade it’s stamina

Ok so basically just 1.craft bolas 1 or 2 will work they last 30 secs each and they cost basic matierials 2.get a bow and tranq arrows bows u unlock at lvl 5 or 6(i believe)tranq arrows u unlock at lvl 21 3.U want to unlock its saddle before taming believe me ik u unlock the saddle at lvl 38 if u dont unlock the saddle first ur just gonna focus on leveling up and nothing else so u wont get anything done 4.Use dodo kibble unlock the cooking pot and so u get some xp do the pursuit for it also the dodo kibble works best 5.then once u have everything u wanna get some bio toxin u can kill cnidarias to get it but be careful 6.Now just knock it out and when the torpor gets low feed it a bio toxin have a good time=) -JJ (just tell all ur friends so they can have a pt too)

One thing about pteranadons pump about all their level ups into weight stamina and some into health and if your on pvp pump some into damage

At least on Ark Mobile, pteranodons are able to fit through doorframes. You could use this to your advantage (for taming, or whatever you think of/come up with).

If your on mobile, barrel roll through a creature while looking at it with your spyglass and it does like 500-100 damage per barrel roll. I kill alpha rexes this way

How to Retrieve your Pteranodon if you lose it

1. Prepare food and healing potions incase it's hurt

2. Go to your character page

3. Click on "Tames XX/40"

4. Scroll down to the tame you want to retrieve

5.request the game to your location and wait for transfer.

6. Whistle it to stop incase that traitor tries to Escape again

7. Beat it with a club.

I remember getting stuck in the artic because my pteranodon went to fly away. Half way across the map. Had to tame raptors and walk half the way nearly getting killed by terror birds very often.

This is my first flying dinosaur and I got to say you got to love the bola made it really easy to catch this dinosaur

As far as I’m aware pteranodons don’t go down when they run out of stamina while over water but don’t take my word for it. Test in a controlled environment first
