If you wish to gather metal from far distances with a Pteranodon have a specific one JUST for gathering metal. You will be able to gather more metal, savor stamina and get back to base faster.

I had a high lvl pteranodons that killed a lvl 90 alpha raptor

Another easy way to get one is to build a big enough wall by your base and hope one flys into it. They will stay in the air stuck on your wall until you bola it. You can build a ceiling on top of it to provent it from taking off or a small hut so it can't get away. Two downsides, if it gets away, it flys straight up the wall quick and once down it can be seen and kill on the other side of the wall. I tamed a pteranodon level 145 with dodo kibble and narcodics. How come my efficiency went down to 20%? Anybody have an idea why?

To do barrel roll on mobile you have to go to settings. Go to controls, on the left or right multitap things change it to Relaod/Alt Attack 2. Then tap with two fingers on whatever side you chose. To pick something up (dodo, lystros, mesopithicus, kairukus, and a few more) swipe up on the left side when close to the creature.

All you need to do is bola them and knock em out then tame them with dodo kibble, prime meat, or raw meat. Raw meat takes the longest. A good tip contains more words

You can use simple kibble to tame it faster and it only takes like 3 narcotics

Simple kibble: two rockatrots, one cocked fish meat, five megos and five fiber and one full waterskin.

Oh and always tranq it in the head.

Don’t tame other Dino’s with this around cause when the Dino passes out they will kill the Dino in its sleep and it’s annoying

Up for the newbies

For people hunting a pteranodon get a bola and a tamed animal

Find a pteranodon flying low or on the ground and throw the bola at it.

Then tell your tame to attack it. That way you won’t accidentally take of the bola

Easiest way to tame is find a pteranodon egg (fertilised) put it near a few fires, imprint it, wait for adulthood, make a saddle put on the saddle and ride it WARNING right when you ride it it starts flying so whistle land flyer twice and it lands

They don’t stop flying they only land when they have no stamina so you can’t fly on them with no stamina

Do not leave the game flying on it, when you connect again you will fall and die, upwote so noobs know

They can fit in doorframes, so a trap with open doors or a breedings pen will not work

Recently when i started playing single player i tamed a pterodactyl named Mr.Nugget and i had a chain collar and i forgot to put it on, and i was hunting for eggs for food and i took a pterodactyl egg and about two or three pterodactyls came and attacked Mr.Nugget and he died, it was a very sad moment for me

Taming them with normal meat is possible u just need 6 nitro. I have created an army of 10 doing this. It may take lvls or add mines never taken
