You are gonna need a bola or tranq arrow and 15 normal meat and narcotic to keep asleep

Coming here to complained because it just happened to me for the fourth time. Never, ever, hit anything if you’re standing next to ur unconscious pteranodon while taming. It kills it for some reason even if u never even touched it. I’m so annoyed.

This thing has low stam,low hp,low dmg and is slow a hell. I remember when i was the fastest flying but then wildcard nerfed it and now its low tier garbo. U are literally better off taming a crystal wyvern or a maewing. Much better starter tames and if u are below lv 60 and dont have gen 2 welp rip to you cuz ur gonna be stuck with garbo for awhile

I recommend taming up one of these. A high level one is really fast for flying.

All you need is a bola and a bow.

Bola the flying reptile, and shoot it until its unconscious.

When it does, I recommend giving it Raw Prime Meat.

Then just wait untill it's tamed. Remember to give it

narcotics, or it'll wake up!

These guys can get pretty op if you have a good level one, mine took out Carnos, chased Tapejaras, theris, raptors, sarcos, spinos, brontos, pacers, barys, would definitely recommend one.

These things used to be awesome till the most recent patch. Now they are pretty much just a scout bird... 145 with just 170 carry weight is ridiculous... Get ready to invest alot of points into just weight and stamina cuz they pretty much have none now

It was more kibble then what it says for a lvl 135.

If you wish to gather metal from far distances with a Pteranodon have a specific one JUST for gathering metal. You will be able to gather more metal, savor stamina and get back to base faster.

I had a high lvl pteranodons that killed a lvl 90 alpha raptor

Another easy way to get one is to build a big enough wall by your base and hope one flys into it. They will stay in the air stuck on your wall until you bola it. You can build a ceiling on top of it to provent it from taking off or a small hut so it can't get away. Two downsides, if it gets away, it flys straight up the wall quick and once down it can be seen and kill on the other side of the wall. Please like if this helps because I've gotten a flew other birds this way. Thanks.

I tamed a pteranodon level 145 with dodo kibble and narcodics. How come my efficiency went down to 20%? Anybody have an idea why?
