Don’t even try to get any pteranodons under lvl 130, they are a waste of time. If you want quality ones, spawn highlands, get some tranq arrows (crossbow) than find a 130+ ptera, bowl, shoot 2-3 times in head. It should be out, then find an Ovis and the use the raw mutton.

I recommend taming dodos and make kibble taming PTEs are easy and cheap if u will work for the kibble

Use 1 taser sleep bullet thing, wait like 10 secs to 20 then use ur 2nd bullet thing, feed it lots of meet, and keep it knocked out, useful bastards though.

After losing a handle full of Pteras in a row, I figured out that if you take 3 or 4 with you at once, they work and fight like a pack of Raptors.

Bola the Pteranodon and than it is easy to tame it.

Just tamed a lvl 15 yesterday, not made the saddle even tho I’m lvl 42 and he was an absolute annoying thing to get to base as they don’t walk when they follow you they fly in front of you, the side of you and the back of you and when I whistled stop he kept on flying, but I forgot to whistle land flyer so yeah, not named yet, I will today tho

Fun fact: Real life pteranodon was believed to be a piscivore because of its long beak which can be used to capture fish like ducks and seagulls. But they cannot surface swim.

After you knock it feed bio toxion every 30 seconds

TO ALL NOOBS, Use a bola on the Pteranodon then use 1 trank arrow to KO

feed it meat and force feed it narcoticts. You will need 75 keratin(harvest from turtles)for the sadlel

If you want a supply drop runner then out of every 5 points pump 3 into Stam, and 2 into weight or vis versa

If you want a PvP based mount, then out of every 5 pump 2 into Stam, 1 into weight (or add one more in melee) 1 into health, and 1 into melee

If you want a day to day mount on PvE, then out of every 5 points pump 3 into Stam, 1 into melee or weight, and 1 into health.

When taming use at least 3k dodo kibble

Don’t try flying everywhere at once when you take these guys

Do you want some extra wait on this??? Then tame listrosourus or dilosourus and upgrade weigh of them then pick them by your pteranodon. Do not put stuff in pteranodon inventory,use dilo or listro . You can also do it on dodo but its 1% less effective. If you are high level try on other flying dinos i am at low level so only tried on pteranodon! Your welcome

Pteras can collect element dust and the rest from light posts on Extinction. All flyers can but ptera does it best imo.

Grab and tame an 130+ make it have decent stamina like 1800 and then pump speed I have one that is 188 and has 241% speed it can travel a square in the map for corner to opposite corner in 10 sec

If you want to zoom around very fast upgrade he’s movement speed and stamina I have a pterodactyl and it’s name is ZOOM he died fighting a Rex

For tame a pteranodon the best is dodo kibble, not expensive and if you tame a dodo female it is very easy
