Use a bola then a tranq arrow.after that,give it some soothing balm which you can get from ads or beacons.then put raw meat or cooked fished meat to tame it.if it is a high level like 5,then put some raw prime meat or raw prime fish into the inventory.it takes about 16 seconds.

For beginners,you can use a soothing balm which you can get from ads or beacons on any Dino you want to tame faster.My first pteranodon was tamed in about 16 seconds because it was a level 2.I hope this is useful.

Ok so ark updated where u can now tame with fish and also mine is like lvl 11 and has about 546 stam so you can get good stam ones!

Pump melee, health, lots of stamina and a bit of weight and you have yourself a dino that can fell low level alphas (that are about smaller than an alpha rex)

These things are awesome. If you put points in stamina and melee damage you can have a air strike dino. Just barrel roll into your target

If you miss all your bolas picking up the eggs won’t help they fly in circles when attacking to get keratin if your scared of bugs like me slaughter carbon Emmy’s with raptors then pounce attack that gets more keratin from my experience hope this helps

Just so everyone knows, on ark mobile they can actually fit through door frames when you are careful doing it. I’m not sure if this is on any other devices but yeah they can fit through door frames

To be completely true to myself and to whoever’s reading this I’m still new but I do know this my single player world is on the easiest settings so fair warnings I tamed a level 29 bird and I got it up to level 32 now if you want to tame a bird use a bola then when its on the ground hit it with rocks so you don’t hurt the health to much then just feed it what ever meat you got this is also good for hunting sorry this so long :3

When taming it you can’t give a balm grab a whole bunch or narcos and another berry and feed it narco then the other Berry than another narco then another berry

I used mine to get obsidian from the mountains (he had 250 base Weight) but one morning I went there and got mobbed by 3 level 120 griffins and 1 level 50 scorpion and a low level giga I tried to save my Dino knowing that I could come back with my 15 sabers but NOPE. 1 like equals 10 rips for my pt :(

HARVESTING TIP! Tame a few of these. 3 at least if you don't want them to die by an argentavis. Upgrade their weight tolerance and use them to cargo wood and stone to the base you're building. I did this in singleplayer when I was making a base on the volcano. Be sure to make water jars, because you'll need them.

Tamed a level 15 off raw Meat took 45 minutes not 30

If you have a pte, you should level it on stamina and weight. If you think those are good then you should level the pte on meleedamage and than it is a beast

Despite the wiki saying Ptrandon cannot fit through a doorframe, they actually can fit through a open door while flying. Don’t use open doorframes to trap one unless you want a big chance of your Ptrandon escaping.

Source: I got my Ptrandon stuck in my house multiple times because he followed me through the doorframe.
