Everyone here is saying it’s an easy tame- it’s not. Well, for noobs it isn’t. And noobs are the people taming this. So here’s some handy steps for noobs by a noob.

1.) kill a jelly for its toxin. Sounds hard, but it’s easy with a few spears and one near the coast.

2.) craft a bola. The pter will run and you can not catch it. Bola it and smack it with a club.

3.) get as much freakin meat as you can.

4.) protect it. They take forever in noob-time, so I suggest having food and weapons on ya when you take it down so you can stick by it and protect it.

For pteradons use bolas to keep them on the ground then KNOCK out.

What I do is get a bola, hit it while on the ground, and knock it out with a club. Then I give it raw meat. When it’s torpor goes down, feed it nacrotics. It takes a while to tame, but it will be worth it.

I'd say the best way to catch a pterandon is focused the bolaa but it takes nearly forever to tame it

Make sure you get a parachute, so if you press the wrong button, you don't die and lose your new pet to the wild!

Upon Encounter, It's Best To Wait Until The Pteranodon Is Landed, If Not Already Landed, When Target Is Landed Throw A Bola From Very Close Range Directly At The Pteranodons Feet, Then Use Tranq Darts On Its Head (3-5 For High Levels). If Using Kibble, It's Best To Let The Hunger Go A Tad Below Below Half Then Insert The Kibble and It Should Tame Out Within 1 minute Upon Kibble Insertion With Extra Bonus Levels.

Don't land in a place where you can not see the animals nearby because they can kill you. Also watch the stamina bar.

I saw 27 in redwoods. Are pteras sane?

Bola the legs then you shoot it with tranq arrows or use a sling shot then when its unconscious feed it kibble or raw meat and give it narcotics or bio toxin if the invincible bar is low

If he's your first flier and you end up with an Argy or something else, don't give up on your boy the Ptera. He can serve as a good scout, because he is faster than the Argy, allowing you to make a much quicker getaway (level Stamina, like A LOT)

These things are OP they can demolish a giga just get a good mutation and try to uplevel the health , movement speed, and melee. It worked for me so try it and tell me how badly you fail or win

Bcoz these Dino’s are a early game tame but the saddle requires level 38 I just set my difficulty level to easy so you get all resources back when demolished, and then once level 10 keep making several cooking pots to gain XP and before u get level 10 spam make campfires

Bola, then hit it in the head 2-7times with some tranq arrows. SLEEPY TIME! then just put some meat and narcs in it and let it go! Dododex # aren’t always accurate so make sure you have a few more then they suggest. Boost stam and weight recommended for all the ArkVentures you fly into. 🤙🏾
