For noobs to get obsidian, metal and other better resources and dinos I recommend going to the snow biome as soon as you can fly on one of these. This is what I did and now I have an infinite supply of metal and obsidian but tame an argy and otter first then pump otter dmg and wear it so not to get hypothermia.

I recommend bringing more than one high level Rex or spino just in case.

Breed, imprint, level, and pump into weight, speed and stam and you can fly half the map before running out of stamina in 1 minute

When you see a Bird like this and you tame it I recommend giving alot of stamina and weight and you got a good pteranodon

You can find high levels on ragnarok in the highlands, and you can find Ovis easily in the highlands so you can tame them with mutton. Beached whales also spawn on the volcano beach which is right by the highlands. Beached Whales give a crap ton of Keratin which is something you need to make the saddle. You don’t have to up if you already knew this.

Possibly the hardest hit by flyer nerf. Anything less than a 140 isn't worth your time now due to the lack of stats on them.

If you dont double tap on ark ultimate mobile edition to sprint with your pteranodon you will fly slowly without loosing stamina

If you need to get water but you don’t want to get off you pteranodon just use the spin move and you can get your water just found that out. Warning use only in shallow water.

If I where you I would wait until you are level 38 or somewhere around that. If you are near it or you are level 38 I would craft two bolas (in case it gets out of the first one) then find a pteranodon and use something like your fist to knock it out. Then craft it’s saddle and fly on it.

Pteranodon are the kings of the island sky, while sure an argent might have better utility, it doesn’t stand a chance against a pteranodon. Also to trap an argent in a birdcage for taming, a pteranodon is basically required.

People say pteranodon have horrible stamina, but a high level ptera can cross the island no problem. Mine’s only about 120 (103 when I tamed it, no points put in stamina) and my route from the rock island (where I have my starter base) to my volcano birdcage consists of one pitstop ontop of the redwood mountain, which I only do incase something bad is on the volcano and I need to stay airborne for awhile, I don’t make that stop on the return trip. And yes I do hold shift during that flight.

On scorched earth they can, with proper spamming of C, outrun wyverns (not that they need to, because they’re chad enough to take one on if it’s low level)

11/10 best dino in the game.

P.S. In pvp they can grab riders off their fliers.

All you have to do is spawn at highlands tame a equas find a pt bola it knock it out find a sheep get raw mutton then put it in the pt there you go

Level up stamina to 1000 or more, if you run out your pteranodon will force land on a random area on the ground.

Easy tame I tamed in lvl 8 easy

It is way easier to use bola on these while they’re on the ground. It is much harder while they’re in the air. Just beat them with bat when they are stuck. Then use raw meat to tame. It doesn’t take much meat but it does take a long time.

how to tame:

Bola it

If it's a low level, just hit it with your fists or a club, but with higher levels use some tranqs.

When it's out, wait a bit for it to starve a little.

When it's food goes down a bit, start giving it meat. It can be taned with regular meat or fish meat, but prime meat or prime fish meat does wonders.

Tada, you have a pteranodon.

(Mainly level up it's weight and stamina)

You find a bunch of them on herbivore island and some of them are very high level and currently I'm stuck in a dudes base on PvP The marsh easy NA on herbivore island if any one wanted to know;_;

Ultimate mobile edition:

This works with every tame, but knock out your creature (ptero in this case), save game, go to main menu, log back into your game with the dinosaur food drain put up to about 30.0. Your creature will tame in seconds, and then once tamed, save game, go back to settings and put food drain back to normal.

You can also make your player 100% invulnerable, so it kinda feels like cheating…. I been running through the redwoods on a killing and taming spree since I’m invulnerable, I have ten second taming, don’t need narcs, I just knock everything out with my fists since I can’t die. It feels ridiculous. I killed a pack of allos, raptors and troodons all at the same time with a hatchet. They were all over level 70, too

Use bio toxic to keep them sleep they wake very fast you get bio toxic from killing jellyfish

TIP- y’all when u get one don’t go right away and travel around the map!!! Their stetma (sorry idk how to spell that) is bad what I did is chill around my base kill simple animals get is his stetma, heath, and damage up now he is killing every animal and his stems never runs out bc I leveled it up

These dudes are very easy to tame just their saddle is a high level.

Recommended items: slingshot , stone , narcotics,meat or prime meat and bola.

Step 1: find a pteradon

Step 2: bola him

Step 3: take your slingshot and knock him out

Step 4: feed him meat and narcotics (prime recommend)

Step 5: wait for it to tame

Step 6: take him home

Boom now you have a pteradon
