Here’s how u tame em,they are really early tames that will be really useful,so right after u get the cooking pot you could get some female dodos which in turn give u eggs,those eggs could serve for making kibbles that the pteranodon needs,then just wait until one lands,bola it and then keep fisting it if u don’t use slingshots,feed it the kibbles and now u got a pteranodon

These guys are easy to tame and no doubt probs the first flyer you ever tamed and they are also one of the fastest dinos in ark.

How to tame! First lure jellyfish to land for free narcotics find a pteranodon and Bola it punch it until is knocked out then feed it meat if it's about to wake up give it the jellyfish narcotics that's how u tame a pteranoson!

If your pte accidently stuck in the sky you can request it without losing any items. I dont know if this works with other flying creatures. Sorry for my grammar.

The PT is a pretty good flyer but when you have argies and griffins they are mainly good for traveling metal runs and crystal runs when your a noob they’re saddle is easy to make and it takes little tranq arrows to nock them out and they are best tamed with raw meat, dodo kibble and raw prime meat. They are not good fighters considering they have low damage are large and easy to bola but if you have a high lvl one you can take out a lightly powerful wild dinosaur not tamed because most people now how to corner you get off there Dino and spam feed them while there Dino picks your health little by little

If you are still a Bob, and this will be your first flight, do not use kibble you need jerky which is annoying and time consuming just used cooked or prime

If you run out of stamina and stop in mid air hit R3 on your ps4 controller then you will dive down to the grown

I tamed more that 5 PTs and encounter more than 70 . Now I have a lv154 PT in medium difficulty.

I will give a suggestion I saw so many people posting that to tame a PT with a club and probably they tamed a low level PT not more than lv 20 or something. Unlock trank arrow then approach it bolla and hit with trank arrows. Don't tame a low level PT they can't even carry 50 arrows

You can use a bow to tame these guys make sure you have narcotics or bio toxins use tranq arrow to knock them down crossbow work the best aim for the eye tho and feed them meat prime meat prime fish meat or fish meat there saddle is unlock at level 38 make sure you have the saddle there you go you have yourself a airline

Use tranqs on pteranadons because they're torpor drops fast

How to easily tame

1 get bola

2 bola pteranodon

3 feed meat (if you don’t use soothing balm, use narcotics to keep it asleep)

Very easy to tame all I usually use is:

2 bolas (just in case you miss)

3-5 meat piles (about 50 atleast in each)

Bio toxin (98-200)

Narcotic (if you want)

Steps:

Find one!

Wait till it gets on the ground

Make sure (raptors/Rex/dilos) arent near it

Bola it!!

Give it meat and bio toxin or narcotics(50-100 atleast)

Then whenever it’s unconsciousness goes down just feed it bio toxins!

Use a spike collar to give it extra stamina so it doesn't crash into a ocean or land in front of a carnivore. I learned that from a rex.

Many people say highlands on ragnarok is the best way to go but valguero is definitely underrated, way more ovis and pteranodon spawns then ragnarok. The edge between chalk cliffs and the starter spawns is the best place to go for sure.

I highly recommend using a flyer (like this one) to complete the “Hunt Terror Bird” pursuit cause it’s pretty dangerous In the red woods

It should be able to have 220 base stamina, that’s reasonable and it would make stamina leveling less of a pain.

When using tranq arrows shoot'em anywhere but the head. 3 arrows should KO them. I was taking a level 36 ptera. I recommend using kibble as raw meat takes a lot of time and narcotics. Don't try it if you don't have a trike or anything effective at gathering.

Okay so these things are actually pretty good for robbing beaver dams (the really shallow ones) just level up its weight and boom you've got yourself a getaway flyer

For noobs to get obsidian, metal and other better resources and dinos I recommend going to the snow biome as soon as you can fly on one of these. This is what I did and now I have an infinite supply of metal and obsidian but tame an argy and otter first then pump otter dmg and wear it so not to get hypothermia.

I recommend bringing more than one high level Rex or spino just in case.
