Best way to tame in my opinion: get a fast moving tame that you can use weapons on like tappy on passenger and make it follow the kangaroo and tranq it very useful but saddle is expensive to make early game

Can no longer be bola'd, can't be carried by any fliers, and their idle speed makes it difficult to trap. A pretty easy way to tame them is by freezing it with a snow owl and putting spiked walls around it

If you want to tame a protodon on mobile check the mountains and if you find one get on to a cliff or rock and eat a rare flower and then you can knock it out

Nothing quite sucks as much as losing a good tame because you had outdated information.

They CAN NO LONGER BE PICKED UP by Argy, knocked out or not.

Don't do my mistake and don't waste your time trying to pick up your knocked out procoptodon, just build that spike fence before something attacks!!

If you want a real experience in taming then run it down with a equus or any fast mount and tranq it. Real wild hunting!!

How to tame a procoptodon

1st step: get either rare flowers or a lymantria

2nd step: find the procoptodon of your liking

3rd step: craft billboards

4th step: stun the procoptodon with the lymantria and put bill boards around it

4th step(rare flowers): put three billboards down and leave an opening, hide behind the billboard that’s in front of the opening and eat the rare flower, once the procoptodon is in the trap place the last billboard down

5th step: tranq the procoptodon and feed it rare mushrooms

I saw few at red wood. Bring your flying Dino. Up this so people can watch it. It help a lot in breeding & feeding some particular Dino's

If you're fast enough, you can box up the Procoptodon with three to four billboards

I'm on Xbox so anyone that is too needs to read this... realy easy tame method

So make 3 wood billboards and every so often they stop for 4 or 5 seconds so that's when you strike you hurry and place the three in a triangle and eat a mushroom so it sticks it'd head out at you

and it only takes 10 through 15 trank arrows for a 140 that's the only one I know but then use the mushrooms that you eaten (make sure you have 10 or 12) and kill ANY that moves because when you eat the mushroom EVERYTHING and I mean EVERYTHING will come for you so do that before you eat one and then feed it the mushrooms and wait you don't need any narcotics but have some on you just in case because these things spawn near Rex's so tame one of them to if you want and there you go you now have a procoptodon that helps will your baby's and increases the imprint amount when they are in the pouch (can only do this with females not males )

Best way to tame is either billboard around it or a net gun. Protocoptodons are pretty great dinos especially for traversing the aberration cave in valguero

To tame it for ark mobile

Step 1 make a trap

Step 2 find the one you like

Step 3 get it using argy

Step 4 put it in the trap

Step 5knock it out

Also we need dododex to recognize a procoptodon can be carried by a argy(mobile). it says it cannot so please like :D

It says that you can't pick it up with an argy and that you can't bola it. But I just did. I found one near the volcano (on The Island), picked it up with my argy, flew back to my base, threw a bola on it, knocked it out and fed it rare mushrooms. Then it was tamed! This was on mobile tho.

don't use wyvern wing to trap it. When u do this and u try tranq it, ark makes it disappear! Lost few to this. Use rare flower trap. Old school

Eat rare flowers and run to it.

Build a trap, eat a rare flower and lead it into the trap.

It says you can’t carry with your argy but on mobile I have been able to!
