Check rivers before crossing them in early game. I lost a rapter and a sarco they accidentally hit to piranhas.

DO NOT! Lose your stuff in the water they act like torpedos that tear you apart

This is not a tip but who added these I just died to them lost all my loot and I just got furious if you see one in the water swim out now but if you are a high level just kill it or if you have a Dino kill it ether way stay a way from it just to keep safe

The way I kill them is lure them to the edge of the water, get out and then they can't hurt you but you can kill them.

These guys will rip you and your tames to shred and the worst part is that they attack in groups

I was ramming a barionix in the swamp he then I tamed him I was soooooo happy until a piranha killed it if what the barionix was low HP

Encountering this piranha and dont know what to do? dont worry, all you need is a baryonyx. Megapiranha is the most (Not really) worst water dino in ARK, crossing in rivers are the worst thing ever.

These satanfish are scared of sarcos so just walk up to a piranha-infested place and shout fear me while riding your sarco

While everyone is talking about how annoying piranhas are let me tell you a secret, if you swim in water and piranhas are after you, find land and once they can’t get any closer to you try swimming beside them because they’ll try to turn to you with will slide them onto land and die which is basically free food (not guaranteed to work every time)

Use a baryonyx or a spino and they won’t stand a chance

Kill then. If they are too powerful, swim away.

Kills a fricking tamed Theri in the water, make sure you kill all of them with Bary before you cross it.

Just a quick question...why does Dododex say that they aren’t on Extinction when they’re definitely on Extinction? I steered my Snow Owl too close to water and got dismounted. Thankfully, my Owl had an Ascendant saddle, so he didn’t die by piranhas

I ran in this when I was taking my megalodon out of its crocodile and these things just started attacking my meg so I hopped on my squid "inky" and killed them but they almost got my meg killed

To not bother you again just cover up the whole water with spikes so the piranhas won't attack you.
