I'm around lvl 30 and ever since I started the game I can honestly say "I hate these creatures!" I've died by them more then anything else lost two parasaurs, a raptor, and who knows what else. Advise keep glancing under water to see if any are around, avoide rivers crossing on foot. I like rock hopping and dino swimming they can take more damage

They’re way to strong. Went to tame that stupid (hesperornis or something) and let my wyvern behind on the edge of the water. Then my wyvern got killed by a group of those b*tches because his tail was in the water.. I didn’t know my wyvern was in trouble because nothing attacks him normally, but now he’s death and i’m sad :( .. RIP wyvern

I no longer have trouble with these because I tamed and the source that little bird thing it always takes your stuff and you can turn it on hunt and it will just kill all the ones that tried to attack you and they don’t even kill ones that aren’t trying to attack you and it doesn’t like slowly killed them it like instantly the second it pulls it out of the water it dies. It’s so useful cause the piranha is literally the most annoying creature in the game.

If you want to kill these little monsters, you first should submerge into the water and scan your area.

They should come at you.

Once you see them, shoot them with a crossbow.

If you dont have a crossbow, lure them to shore, where they should die instantly. If they dont die, stab them with a spear.

Tame a swarm in aberration and kill anything you see in the water

it is humanly impossible to kill this thing when you spawn because it is always max level but the second you can get a bow they are all level uno

The best thing to do when you need fish meat is to find a Piranha. First, you go into the water by about, 4 ark inches. Second, you go on shore. Third you take a look at the water. Last, if (IF) there are Piranhas there, kill em’. In my opinion the best thing to harvest the fish meat with is a pickaxe.

I hate these so much they are the only reason why I am terrified of going even ankle deep in water.

here is how your first encounter (probably) went.

you are just level 1-15 swimming across a river and suddenly you get attacked! you look to see and see a piranha attacking you. you try to swim away but it quickly does 100 damage to you and you will soon die. you swim but its no use. you are dead.

I was near the water taming a spino till these little killers came and killed me while I was taking the spino I hate these little basters

Once I was in a pond very small part of a swamp barely deep water and bam 🤣 8 piranhas killed my wolf pack
