Kill it

If you have kapauscroch you can make him grab the pegemax... empty inventory and fill it with mego berries. You can hop off your mount and he will still hold pegemax. Get close to him and let him steal your berries. When the bag that he stole disappears he will want more.... (always have berries in stacks of 20)

Used stacks of 20 mejo and the taming still dropped like mad. We let it steal a stack of 20 mejo and then tried to stay on the other side of the pen from it till it was ready to steal again. Worked better that way for us.

bolos and mejoberries are all you need to tame it . let it steal a stack of mejos from you last slot , chase and bolo it. reload mejos to slot , wait till package in its hands disappears remove bolo , walk away so it resets then repeat till tamed , side note it will run away from you the direction it pounced on you from, water and other obstacles may cause it to glitch

Simply have nothing on you (yes...nude!). The Pego will follow you all the way like a pet if there's nothing to steal. I'm using a raft as a taming pen. The stash of mejo's is located inside the pen. An ordinary doorframe will do.

This is quite literally the most easiest thing to tame in the game. Put all other items except the right berries on the ground and just lay back and watch the instant tame.

My friend used cheats to spawn a total of 20 of these Nightmares. To counter his attack I surrounded myself with bear traps and armed myself with a fabricated sniper

It's best to find the lowest level,and even if you have access to a high level one just make sure you have a lot of measure berries otherwise it's just a piece of cake

This little bum steals everything and it is too annoying because I was trying to hit it in the woods and my friend was trying to hit it but he hit me # Mission failed

I knocked one out with a stone axe is this a bug or can you actually do this

If one of these are around and you only have berries, let it take a few and eat them. Instatame. Mejoberries work best. Put them in last slot of quick bar.

When trying to tame split up the berry stacks it will make it so it doesn't steal all of them

Build a enclosed three by three room. Drop it in. Fill your inventory with mejo berries and spilt them into stacks of 35. Once the pego steals from you it will begin to run away. Try yo stay in the opposite corner of the pego at all times other wise it will mess up the process and you will lose taming progression. Once the pego drops the bag its carrying and most of the time will hiss. slowly approach until it attacks again. Been taming tons of them trying to figure out what works. Stay away from the pego when ever it has a bag still in its hands. Otherwise it doesn't attack you again till you move far enough away...which causing you to have to repeat the what you just gained.

I managed to tame one gy accedent... didng even mean to, got ravaged by a pack and i got the messege to name it lol

For taming berries are better and recommended in stacks of around 50 mejo

I don't know how this worked but I tamed one on a player dedicated server by bolaing it right as it was mid jump

Easiest way to tame is knock out the Pogo and build a small pen around it that pretty much only the two of you can fit in. Be cautious though because it doesn't have a torpor meter, it will lose health. I don't know the exact amount but it seems to be a percentage based off of its health. It will not lose tame bonus from this, just make sure to swap your berries to the last slot in your hot bar. You will need a couple hundred berries I tamed a lvl 25 and it took about 4 stacks on a 1.5x taming weekend.
