If one of these are around and you only have berries, let it take a few and eat them. Instatame. Mejoberries work best. Put them in last slot of quick bar.

Don't be me and carry kibble. The pegomastax will eat it all and use it toward his taming.

When trying to tame split up the berry stacks it will make it so it doesn't steal all of them

Build a enclosed three by three room. Drop it in. Fill your inventory with mejo berries and spilt them into stacks of 35. Once the pego steals from you it will begin to run away. Try yo stay in the opposite corner of the pego at all times other wise it will mess up the process and you will lose taming progression. Once the pego drops the bag its carrying and most of the time will hiss. slowly approach until it attacks again. Been taming tons of them trying to figure out what works. Stay away from the pego when ever it has a bag still in its hands. Otherwise it doesn't attack you again till you move far enough away...which causing you to have to repeat the what you just gained.

One of the best ways of tackling this annoying dino I found is, if your aim is good enough, to bind it with a bola. Since it charges straight at you on sight, connecting the throw is relatively easy. The time the animal spends with its legs tied is usually enough to poke even high-level (100+) ones to death with a spear. BEWARE: the bola somehow doesn't prevent it from using its pouncing/robbing attack, so approach it from the side.

For taming berries are better and recommended in stacks of around 50 mejo

If your quetz ever is getting attacked and you dont know by what just let it die because there is a chance that you could also have your ascendant longneck dissapear to find nothing but bullets in the pegomastax's inventory

I don't know how this worked but I tamed one on a player dedicated server by bolaing it right as it was mid jump

Easiest way to tame is knock out the Pogo and build a small pen around it that pretty much only the two of you can fit in. Be cautious though because it doesn't have a torpor meter, it will lose health. I don't know the exact amount but it seems to be a percentage based off of its health. It will not lose tame bonus from this, just make sure to swap your berries to the last slot in your hot bar. You will need a couple hundred berries I tamed a lvl 25 and it took about 4 stacks on a 1.5x taming weekend.

Make sure you only have mejoberries in your inventory and then it will rob you of them.. congrats you tamed a the most annoying Dino on the game..

May not be helpful, but while I was taming a Rex, it needed to eat one more prime (which I had in my inventory, it had normal meat) one of these guys walked up stole it and while I was chasing Rex woke up killed my lvl 78 quetz and I kept saying, "Pegomastax u b*tch!!!!!

Based on my experience if you have berries in your last slot the pogo will steak the berries and gain taming effeciancy. Any berries are fine

Son of a batch stole my first and only glass jar of water. Easier to just stay on dino and kill it if they are around.

I don't know who gets their items back but I've never gotten a single item back from one. Put mejo's in your last slot and let them steal. Use taming pen in PvP. In PvE run to follow it and pray you don't get eaten by a bigger dino while taming.

Put taming speed up to 9999999 then knock one out then as soon as it wakes up shove mojo berries in its mouth
