Utility Tips

What is a parasaur used for? parasaur battling strategies in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
Pros
Can get caught by a bola
Really easy to tame and low levels can hold heavy weight
I have a LEVEL 17 and it can hold 600 weight
Has an ability to pinpoint and locate local threats
Their saddle’s craft-able at level 9
Cons
Their turret mode’s annoying when there’s things around you that are barely a threat like piranhas or compies
They’re slower than bigger threats like raptors
Have a small health pool
Their range is pretty small and can’t damage small creatures like compies when they attack the parasaurs underside
Why does no one like the parasaur compared to other gatherers? Yeah, the others might get bigger amounts of berries but even if it takes longer it has much better movement speed than for example a stego, and not only that the parasaur has decent weight that will hold much more berries, yeah, I get pumping weight on other creatures but starting off with half-decent weight is good on its own. But conversation aside, Cooked meat is better to eat anyways.
The parasaur is probably my favorite early game tame, It's really early game, it's rideable, it gathers berries, it detects hostiles which you need to avoid in the early game, and it goes decently fast and is a pack mule. It is also one of the easiest things to tame (if it's a low level)
This is an average mount that can take you long distances either at a slow pace,or fast pace.It is an everyday pack mule that can be used to travel around The Island.I recommend it for beginners who need a easy simple carrier, but not really for defensive or offensive purposes.Level more their weight, stamina or speed mainly, and some of their health but that about it.Make it in to a real life camel or raptor, but it always depends on the person.
Easy way to level up quickly:
Step 1: Tame one if these guys, level doesn't matter at all.
Step 2: Get raw meat and split the stack into ones so all spoil separately. You can add a new stack and it won't effect the timer.
Step 3: Mortar and Pestle, spam craft narcotics.
Step 4: Profit
Turret Mode is a great way to warn you of enemies within a pretty decent range! However, your Parasaur will not follow you while in Turret Mode, and it will not sound a warning while you ride it (enemies will still be highlighted in red).
Also, Turret Mode does not distinguish between threats; it could be warning you of a deadly Rex or Giga nearby or there’s a Compy or (apparently) Oviraptor passing through. Best to ere on the side of caution!
Quick tip (mostly for solo/pve players, harder on pvp obviously)
Tek Parasaur Farm. A few males and a lot of females will provide you with a home supply of oil and electronics, plus scrap metal which can be smelted into scrap metal ingots
(...and if youre a loser like myself you can try to breed a bunch of tek parasaurs with a single uniform color)
