Utility Tips

What is a parasaur used for? parasaur battling strategies in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
The radar works on unclaimed babies, use it to keep you in check when chitin/poly/hide/Tek creature farms are ready to harvest and to check for newborns when breeding for bosses or just extra stats, thus, allowing you to not need to baby sit the eggs so you don't miss imprints and feeding, you can just take care of your base and go see the newborn once the parasaur warns you.
Tip by Vinícius. Hope i helped you with this use of the parasaur, i use this and can confirm the uselfulness. If you liked the tip, you know what to do.
Utility Roles for Parasaur:
1. Long Range Scout. Paras have naturally high stamina, so they can cover distance without needing to rest. Plus their turret mode gives you alerts for nearby enemies (level Movement Speed to ensure you can outrun any threats you come across...RIP my very first Para)
2. Pack Mule. Paras have very high weight for the early game. Even low level Paras can carry a lot of stuff. Just jump on it's back when you're overencumbered and it will take care of the rest. (level weight to make sure your mount doesn't get overencumbered as well)
3. Turret. As mentioned, Paras have an in-built turret mode to root out enemies. It has a pretty long range too so if your out exploring it can come in handy. (level Health and Melee Damage in case your Para gets jumped)
4. Berry Harvester. By far the easiest way to get berries is to use a Para. Need Narcoberries to make Narcotics? Use a Para! Need Mejoberries for tames? Use a Para! (level weight to carry as much berries as you can!)
My name is ShinyChimchar01 and if you like my tip, please up to let me know! I've done the same tips on the Trike and Raptor and my next tip will be on the Carbonemys.
1. Find a good level pary
2. Craft a bola and use it
3. Knock it out a high level pary will not get knocked out by fists or bat
4. Get into the Dododex app then type in parasaur what level it is the it will tell you
How much food it needs
5. Put narcotic in its inventory (if you play on Xbox switch or ps4 press the right trigger every eight seconds on t narcotic the parasaur will eat the food on its own)
6. You have a pary!! Congratulations!
In my opinion the best starter dinosaur you can get.
Decent movement speed with good stamina, an overall okay berry farmer with good weight and highly mobile. And this dinosaur has got very low saddle requierments and you can also shoot from it‘s back.
I suggest you to tame one.
Parasaur is the best starting mount. With their decent weight capacity and alarm ability makes it great for any gathering journey, especially for those with realistic settings. Set its alarm to detect creatures and into turret mode. It is a traveling trip alarm pinpointing the dangerous creatures at a distance. You can also activate its ability while mounted.
Great early game tame.
Very easily tameable, bola, club or tranq, and feed mejoberries until it’s done.
Really good stamina and decent weight, their stamina drains very slowly so you can run for ages within minimal rest.
They have a ping ability, which locates anything hostile in a red blotch on your screen, though it’s a bit weird, pinging things like oviraptors, while not pinging theris.
It also has a roar, which when used, will scare off anything with a smaller drag weight than it (e.g. raptors). They’re also solid berry gatherers.
