If you wanna tame the big guy, first locate a paracer and lure it away from the swamp, then find a flat terrain and build a trap. (Using 3 stone gateways) Then place a large bear trap in the middle and lead the paracer into the trap, when it's trapped, close off the trap with the final stone gateway. Then start shooting tranq arrows or darts at it's head. When it is knocked out, feed it berries or Superior kibble. This creature's torpor drops fast so put narcotics or narcoberries in it's inventory. When it's tamed, congratulations, you tamed a paracer!

You can also try to run away and shoot like you would do with a bronto but it's more risky as paracers are faster than brontos.

Lure it away from the swamp and shoot it with tranq arrows. It will be 20+ arrows used. Don't forget to run when shooting or just make a trap.

You can make a house on the platform saddle and on the porch a cooking pot to make beer to crack open a cold one with the boys

The only dino that'll agro an unconscious paracer is a Rex. So if those are taken care off and your cautious about not bringing in extra friend with you. You don't have to worry about other creature damaging your tame.

Mount a industrial grill on the paracer platform and have it follow u whilst on Rex or giga then when u get prime jump on paracer and put prime on grill

Try to find a lone paracer since they roam in herds outside the swaps. Trying to knock a paracer out when it's near other paracers is an easy way to die.

When knocking these guys out, DO NOT UNDERESTIMATE THEIR SPEED. Even though they are slow they can easily catch up with you. I learned the hard way by trying to back pedal it like a bronto, but it hit me and got me down to half health. When I started chasing it, I thought I was about good, then I ran into a lvl 115 carno that would've killed me if I didn't have my therizino close by. While I was being chased, the paracer passed out, so all I had to do was kill the carno and feed the paracer.

(This should probably be in stories but at the same time it's kind of a tip...)

Has a very poor turning radius so you can strafe in a circle whilst shooting darts/tranq arrows for an easy tame.

The paracer apparently had the biggest Wong going of all the dinosaurs

I don’t know if anyone else has experienced this but I tried taking one of these on my own with no trap, the parapet continuously fake ran away and then returned. I loaded over 90 tranqs in to it and it never got close to going down even on a boosted server. So use a trap, I died many times to bring you this information.

These guys r a super easy tame! Even if you are low level and haven’t unlocked the saddle yet, def tame it as it will be great protection for the base if smth strong comes. I have one called Barry and I take him everywhere!

75 tranq arrows out of an apprentice crossbow for a level 145, my first tame above level 100 because I usually play on low difficulty. Very worth it

So this guy's are quite easy to tame you just need to build a 4x4stone foundation then stone dino gateways but don't put the last2 gates you need it to trap the paracer you also need large bear trap then after done putting all the traps find a paracer the color and level you like shot it one time of tranq arrows then wait for it to chase you then go near the trap after it traps to the large beer trap put the last2 dino gateway so it can't escape then enjoy taming your paracer btw they are good for travelling cause you can build a house on them sorry for some of my English

These are great pets, animals don't want anything to do with you, with a long neck, everything comes after you. So my brother and dad went to the red wood forest with one of these and they were trying to tame a thylocoleo and NOT ONE even tried to attack them, they had to spawn cheat one instead, also these animals have amazing health

Note that a Paracer can NOT damage stone. Build a fair sized trap and lure it in. I used my base walls since they are very large, but a normal Dino gate room should do the trick. After that, fire away from safety.

Dire bears will attack your Paracer when tamed, lost mine about a week ago when my trouble left it on passive thinking nothing would Agro on it

Warning !!! The people who are saying the stuff about it only A quarter of its taper gone and it being halfway are using crops and Stuff. If you’re using Mejoberries or other berries, it is required for you to have narcotics!

Very easy to tame. They have a horrible turning radius so just around their side and fire away, they will keep trying to turn to face you but will be too slow to hit you.
