ARK: Survival Evolved & Ascended Companion
Tips & Strategies

What are tips for ovis? Tips and strategies for ovis in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
They are found a lot around the snowy mountain. Don't listen to the map, they are more common where it says 'very rare.'
Before you tame it you can shear it which means you don't have to keep it to keep the wool. Also tame it with a sweet cake but then use berries to feed.
I am sorry to say but these guys aren’t in mobile. Trust me, I checked
/\ so our fellow mobile players know
I’m not going to asa without breeding one that can solo a max level Rex
MONSTER LOG
Ovis
Behavior: Passive
The Ovis is a sheep primarily in the NE zone of Ragnarok. Wild, Ovis are a great mutton source for taming creatures, such as the Giga. Besides that they have no use wild. Tamed, they are a good source of wool, it’s really just pelt but easier to get. All you need are scissors. They can also be ridden as a battle mount or a joke, preferably battle mount. And best of all, they are the best non-shoulder mount companion in the ARK, and they have a part time job as a pillow. The Ovis is one of the most valuable creatures in the ARK. Do not take it for granted.
HOW TO TAME
You will need: Sweet Vegetable Cake
First, Find it in the NE zone
Lastly, feed it cake
Easy as pie. And here’s a note from are sponsors
I am Commander Ovis! Do not kill these bundles of joy! Or I shall have your head at once! If you do find a godly sheep, FEED IT’S DESIRED FOOD, CAKE!!! If you choose not too, Commander Ovis and his army of the toughest sheep, shall destroy you beach bob hut! That is all I shall tell you now. So stay in you place and bow to the Ovis gods!
-Commander Ovis
Back then when i tried to tame a rex i found one walking around(my lvl was 28) . Decided to kill it because i was desperate. Never get to see their faces again after that..
For mobile players, It's very rare to find one in the snow biome
If you find it, tame it or kill it very quickly. This is because it will die quickly anyways if you don’t, because they try to run from predators, but their behavior will make them accidentally run into the predator instead
I'm currently in between redwoods/forest/swamp and found an Ovis. They aren't soley in the cold regions
They are not in ark mobile
By the way make that button green!
Can some pro ark mobile players plz explain this to me?
I was delightfully carrying the untamed lvl 140 ovis to my base with my ryniognatha and planning to tame it there. By the time I reached, my TAMED dinos, literally ALL of them!
1 giga, 5 carcha, 2 yuti, 2 argies, mammoth, and even my dunkle beetles and another ovis(???!!! You fake a** herbivores) raised their head at the same time. I didn’t worry that much about it even though it's a bit weird, and in the next second every single of them started to chased me and bite my new Ovis!!! AHHH and now it's too late to run away, it’s too late…
Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat tis dat bro?! Never ever thought I would be chased by my own army! Holy! Scary! Crap! (thank god I already have saved the file in advance)
Guys, I am aware that something might be a bit weird on the update 1.11024, so hopefully my story may provide you with some help or just a bit of a fun! And good luck on finding this thing!
On mobile you can find ovis in single player on island map. They're just somewhat rare. They usually spawn in snow biome and die fast.
Infinite raw mutton technique
First find 2 ovis (one male and a female. If you want you can find 4 of them but it should be a male and a female)
Tame 2 ovis
Make them breed
Kill the baby with a yuty as it is the best raw mutton gatherer now you have a infinite raw mutton. For mobile player sorry as there is no ovis in mobile version 😞😓
Like if ark mobile should have ovis and yuty
Mutton mutton, who's got the mutton?!
Valguero, Chalk Hills, about 73/75.
As many as you'll ever need
I saw ovis in ark ultimate survival edition. Without any mode you can able to find them. Note ovis in ultimate Edition is rare dino. You need to check entire island. I saw ovis on snow Mountain. But my bad luck I am in PT on that time and group of carnos killed that ovis in my front.
They die easily if you have an Argy pick it up and take it to a safer location
These things should have a higher spawn rate. The second they spawn in try are immediately eaten by a carno or something. And it would be cool if they spawned in groups of 2-4
Just found a black female ovis by (80,85) on lost island. Didn't think they were on this map a pleasant surprise.
