The cold night breeze brushed against the few white shrubs scattered across the north. The trees gently swayed. The stars twinkled in the dark sky. It was another freezing night. Adonis had gotten used to residing in the snowy lands. It was easy staying warm, since he had a thick coat of white wool. And it was also easy hiding from predators, since his wool matched the snow.
Adonis stared at the sky, leaning his head against a nearby bush. It was rather lonely at night, only some occasional gusts of wind breaking the silence, and, in some cases, a twig or stick snapping.
This night was.. extremely colder than most. Even the creatures with the thickest of coats couldn't handle the frigid weather, including Adonis. He pushed his head against the bush harder, sinking into the leaves.
Unfortunately for Adonis, he didn't really have a home in the north. He just wandered around the snowy biome, not having a shelter or anything. Adonis wished he had a home, especially during these freezing times. He began to bleat again, more stronger this time. Adonis shivered. He tucked his limbs into his torso, letting out a few more bleats.
"Please... Someone, anyone... I need... a shelter..."
He said, slurring on a couple of words.
As if on command, he heard a few footsteps. Adonis perked his head up. Maybe this creature could give him a home? Maybe, just maybe...
The footsteps got more intense. Adonis got slightly anxious, but still hoped. It didn't matter who sheltered him, whether it'd be a ferocious Giganotosaurus, or even one of his own kind, he just yearned for a place to stay, even for a few nights.
The footsteps got more louder by the second. It seemed like the creature was lurking in the shadows near the ovis. It was sidling closer and closer to Adonis, until eventually...
The cold night breeze brushed against the few white shrubs scattering across the snowy lands. The stars gently twinkled in the dark sky. It was eerily silent. No roar, groan, any sound at all. Just.. silence.
Until a soft bleat broke it.
A lone ovis sat next to a bush, shivering. Although they had a full coat of wool, they still were freezing cold. It was an especially frigid night. Most creatures had settled in their dens, caves, wherever they resided. But unfortunately for this little one, they had no place to sleep.
The ovis bleated again, this time, more louder. It seemed to be calling for anyone, anything. Even if it was a ferocious giga, it just needed warmth.
Suddenly, a few footsteps were heard in the snow. They seemed to be getting louder at the second. The ovis perked its head up. Maybe this creature could shelter them? They slowly appeared out of the shadows...
Woah, a cliffhanger! Anyways, if we get 5 ups, I'll (hopefully) do a part two! See you soon!
I finally found one on a pvp the island sever I managed to tame it I put it in a cryo and looked for a female sheep ( my first one was male ) after looking for about 2 hours I left on my equus with the sheep I had then I start to hear lond steps scared for my life I hid with my tames in the forest I thought I was safe for a moment then a start to hear the steps again but closer then I see a tamed Rex with a player riding it he ran up to me at first I thought he didn’t see me then he walked up and killed me and my equus I ran back as fast as I could to save my sheep when I got to my body the Rex and the player was gone i looked in my body and so was my stuff and my sheep was also gone that was my best riot gear I was really sad and stoped playing for at lest a week I go back online to see I’m dead so I spawn back at my base to see we are bing raided by the guy who stole my sheep I won the raid and got my sheep back I did lose some good tamed tho but I had my sheep in a cryo
In the Redwood Forests, I discovered a flock of Ovis under the threat of annihilation by a determined Thylacoleo. I wasn’t about to let this tree-climbing predator turn the party of five into a mutton buffet, so I decided to save them from impending doom. Four of them survived the ordeal, while the lowest-leveled runt wasn’t so lucky. That feline sprung at it first, and lacking any ranged defense, I went all berserker at the tree-lion.
It was an honorable sacrifice. Still, the majority of the flock survived, and after a quick domestication with the Veggie Cakes I stockpiled, I shepherded them back to the Weathertop with the rest of my tamed brothers and sisters. Rest assured, I now have enough Ovis to start breeding towards a productive wool factory for the Cluster. This can, in turn create a fledgling economy across multiple servers that can lead to the tide that rises all ships.
But wool is just one commodity among the vast others that survivors need. If you need munitions to keep the peace, you need metal. And there’s just one dino effective enough to mine it. But, that is a story for another day…
I once had an ovis named Evelyn. She was the best sheep ever, she gave me clothes, warmth. We spent lots of time together but then, I was casually walking in the Highlands and then the giant Jaws ripped through my ovis. R.I.P Evelyn
I had an ovis once, his name was Oliver. He followed me everywhere. I give wool to the neighbors, then one day my Oliver followed me into battle. I can still hear his faint bleating in my dreams. I will avenge my Oliver against that Alpha Carno!!!!!
I like how the ovis wiki page says that ovis temperament is stupid I mean he is dumb but do not kill the crap of it tame look another one breed it until you have your own farm especially if like me a thalacoleo lover so ya tame good luck
One time I was wandering around the island then I seen it a human I snuck behind him and turned his skull into soup with my club I took everything he had and went wandering further north I bumped into a ovis and he wanted a cake and I realized when I killed that human he had one so I fed him the cake and rode him home called him jimmy and went to fight a Rex with him (jimmy died)
