Found in RedWood forest.....these guys drop tons of mutton and have lots of Pelt

These things should have a higher spawn rate. The second they spawn in try are immediately eaten by a carno or something. And it would be cool if they spawned in groups of 2-4

Just found a black female ovis by (80,85) on lost island. Didn't think they were on this map a pleasant surprise.

I have found 3 of them around the north beach on the island. So cute.

I was searching for these guys for the longest time on the island, gave up on it and went about my taming business. Build a trap over the river from my tree base, fly to the local mountain, grab a parasaur and start leading the female giga to my trap. It gets the parasaur, so I grabbed the next closest grabbable creature. An ovis. Now. Really game?! Rip to the sheep that baited the giga the rest of the way through the valley :(

These things DO EXIST in mobile, it's just that they are so absurdly rare to the point where you can't even find one for weeks.

I saw a comment asking where to find them on the Island, they spawn everywhere, especially in the icy mountains but I found one as far down as 3-4 island in the bottom of the map (the one with the cove). The reason they aren't seen often is so many things eat them, so you have to be quick to snag one for yourself

just found one in the snow about to be attacked by wolves, luckily i had my argy with me so i swooped in and grabbed it. only problem is i don't have Any of the ingredients to make the cake lol

if youre transporting these through the swamp good luck cuz rhynios prioritize them unless you temporarily drop them in which case it will focus on you

If you put an Ovis in a cryopod it takes off their wool and you won’t be able to shear it after releasing. You will have to wait until it grows back. So always shear them before putting them in a cryopod.

They have rare spawns in snow but uncommon in grasslands. I've tamed 4 in 6 hours outside my daughter island base at 48.28 and 6 around 45,40 mountainside grasslands

Guide to finding an ovis. Go to the Ragnirock map. I'd recommend getting a flyer first. Locate the wyvern trench At the edge of the murder snow biome Once you're there move to the Highlands a little bit and start flying along the coast line, I found about 20 this way And unrelatedly a unicorn Though I refuse to tame it. So, one day I was out on my mantis, looking for bee hives. It was a nice day, Brontos we're killing rexes, Tek raptors we're killing Zebra horses (equus) all was good. Until I saw what I thought was a huge egg, but when I used my spyglass.. it was an Ovis! I had some veggie cakes and fed it, and it was tame. It was fairly good for Ovis standards at least, but less than 5 minutes later a rex comes through and attacked my mantis. My mantis killed it in 4 hits but apparently hit a female Bronto with a mate. The Brontos attacked, killed my Ovis that I didn't even have for 5 minutes, got my mantis down to 100 health, and nearly killed me. I was able to ride away but I'm pissed about my Ovis :(

Use a chainsaw you get a ton of mutton, pelt and leather

If you see one hurry to take it before another dino does, saw one and by the time I noticed it died to a t-rex.

The only one i came across my spinos walked on and killed it :(

I find a lot of them near 70,90 on valguero. It looks like it would be the chalk hills biome but it actually says it’s the jungle biome. And when you tame it don’t forget to feed it berries. Happy Hunting!

In Ragnarok it spawns at grassland near volvanno and it can spawns quite often
