Pls pls do not kill them, they are so rare it took me 4 weeks to find ONE after I slaughtered 2. Tame them and breed it so much easier trust me

If your on extinction start breeding them and then as soon as they are born put them in a crypto pod so then you got mobile mutton.

I was searching for these guys for the longest time on the island, gave up on it and went about my taming business. Build a trap over the river from my tree base, fly to the local mountain, grab a parasaur and start leading the female giga to my trap. It gets the parasaur, so I grabbed the next closest grabbable creature. An ovis. Now. Really game?! Rip to the sheep that baited the giga the rest of the way through the valley :(

Found them in south east by green ob killing rexes, well not really, more like running from the rexes but same thing if you think about it. The grassland there is good to find them.

On island, the best way to find ovis is to take some veggie cake in your own inventory, Dino’s will eat veggie cake in their inventory, and a large carnivore Dino or Therizinosaur into the arctic and eat everything in sight. Don’t spare anything that moves. Even eat the trees (so you can see better). When stuff starts to spawn back, ovis will spawn with them. Keep an eye out, because they live mere minutes before stuff will eat them. Tame it and cryo it like your life depends on it. Have had several die in the moments between taming them and pulling out a cryopod, one with wolves, one died by Argy. Be FAST!

On mobile you can find ovis in single player on island map. They're just somewhat rare. They usually spawn in snow biome and die fast.

They are found in the snow, I found 3 there in less than 30 minutes. Feed 1 cake and tamed.

Harvest mutton with chainsaw idk it isn't listed as top gatherer for mutton

Found in RedWood forest.....these guys drop tons of mutton and have lots of Pelt

Most people don't know this but the headbutt attack of the Ovis delivers torpor. Possible Ovis fighter? No. Hotel? Trivago.

When breeding, DONT let it have birth next to turrets. The baby will get gunned down faster than Kennedy. (from experience)

I saw a comment asking where to find them on the Island, they spawn everywhere, especially in the icy mountains but I found one as far down as 3-4 island in the bottom of the map (the one with the cove). The reason they aren't seen often is so many things eat them, so you have to be quick to snag one for yourself

If you put an Ovis in a cryopod it takes off their wool and you won’t be able to shear it after releasing. You will have to wait until it grows back. So always shear them before putting them in a cryopod.

just found one in the snow about to be attacked by wolves, luckily i had my argy with me so i swooped in and grabbed it. only problem is i don't have Any of the ingredients to make the cake lol

When breeding put up on a ceiling before birth. Baby will glitch through the ceiling but not the floor below. Otherwise baby will fall through the map

They have rare spawns in snow but uncommon in grasslands. I've tamed 4 in 6 hours outside my daughter island base at 48.28 and 6 around 45,40 mountainside grasslands
