Behavior: Passive

The Ovis is a sheep primarily in the NE zone of Ragnarok. Wild, Ovis are a great mutton source for taming creatures, such as the Giga. Besides that they have no use wild. Tamed, they are a good source of wool, it’s really just pelt but easier to get. All you need are scissors. They can also be ridden as a battle mount or a joke, preferably battle mount. And best of all, they are the best non-shoulder mount companion in the ARK, and they have a part time job as a pillow. The Ovis is one of the most valuable creatures in the ARK. Do not take it for granted.

HOW TO TAME

You will need: Sweet Vegetable Cake

First, Find it in the NE zone

Lastly, feed it cake

Just been extremely nerfed, only giving 1-3 mutton per sheep, devs need to fix this, starting up will be almost impossible now for smaller tribes

Before you tame it you can shear it which means you don't have to keep it to keep the wool. Also tame it with a sweet cake but then use berries to feed.

They are found a lot around the snowy mountain. Don't listen to the map, they are more common where it says 'very rare.'

just found one in the snow about to be attacked by wolves, luckily i had my argy with me so i swooped in and grabbed it. only problem is i don't have Any of the ingredients to make the cake lol

I was searching for these guys for the longest time on the island, gave up on it and went about my taming business. Build a trap over the river from my tree base, fly to the local mountain, grab a parasaur and start leading the female giga to my trap. It gets the parasaur, so I grabbed the next closest grabbable creature. An ovis. Now. Really game?! Rip to the sheep that baited the giga the rest of the way through the valley :(

Pls pls do not kill them, they are so rare it took me 4 weeks to find ONE after I slaughtered 2. Tame them and breed it so much easier trust me

Just found a black female ovis by (80,85) on lost island. Didn't think they were on this map a pleasant surprise.

They die easily if you have an Argy pick it up and take it to a safer location

Guide to finding an ovis. Go to the Ragnirock map. I'd recommend getting a flyer first. Locate the wyvern trench At the edge of the murder snow biome Once you're there move to the Highlands a little bit and start flying along the coast line, I found about 20 this way And unrelatedly a unicorn Though I refuse to tame it. These things should have a higher spawn rate. The second they spawn in try are immediately eaten by a carno or something. And it would be cool if they spawned in groups of 2-4

I saw a comment asking where to find them on the Island, they spawn everywhere, especially in the icy mountains but I found one as far down as 3-4 island in the bottom of the map (the one with the cove). The reason they aren't seen often is so many things eat them, so you have to be quick to snag one for yourself

I have found 3 of them around the north beach on the island. So cute.

If your on extinction start breeding them and then as soon as they are born put them in a crypto pod so then you got mobile mutton.
