If you want to use your fist you need a bola to stand it in place

I just tamed one so here’s some tips! 🦕 1. Carry it with Pterodon into a cage. 2. Knock it out with tranqs of fists 3. Giga eggs work best but I used dodo eggs witch work fine! 🦖 make sure to watch it and have a couple narcotics on you! 🐊 happy taming!

Go for level 1. The higher the Ovi, the more eggs you need. Going after a max level Ovi is the biggest waste of time in the game and terrible use for the 300 dodo eggs your were going to stuff downbits throat.. No matter the level, all they are going to do is stand in your base to increase egg and mating rates, or you will pop one out for two seconds to grab an egg.

Great for helping you’re dinos lay eggs.

Tame 50 dodos, make a roofless 3x3 thatch house with a door- drop it in with a pteranodon and collect dodo eggs until you have 100- then tame. A beginner way to tame that doesn't cost too much

In ASA, oviraptors now pick up eggs from tamed dinos, which includes fertilized eggs. Huge boost to its utility

I had a million eggs it ate it so fast but only at 6.9 😱😭

Can you take an argi or something, pick up a tamed oviraptor, bring it to a nest, drop it and pick it back up to get and egg super easy? Will that work? Or do you have to be riding it

When tanning a OVI raptor you’ll need plenty of eggs, and they are good for leading wolf raptors away from your Dino’s :D

Despite what recent posts say, I used 3 fire wyvern eggs to tame a lvl 150. Didn't see if it required all three or just one because I walked to the fridge after putting them in and when I came back it was tamed to lvl 224.

1 Giga egg make it tamed in 1 interval

But one day i tame one i hit it with a bola and club and i feed him with an egg and soothing balm and i name him silver

When tamed it can be carried by a PT and pick up a Wyvern egg without agrro

The egg laying buff is given to nearby tamed Dino’s when the Oviraptor is put on wandering, creatures that lay eggs like Dino’s and birds will lay unfertilised eggs more frequently, the egg laying buff DOES affect those that don’t lay eggs (like mammals for example) but they don’t benefit from it since they don’t lay eggs

It will eat meat after tamed although it will still eat eggs

To tame a low level, I used a bola and just shot one dart (my rifle is a 125 damage) and is was down. It took me about 26 or so Dodo eggs and no more than 5 minutes. It’s torpor is really slow, so I didn’t have to use any narcotics (I got a level 25 to use on my kibble farm). For the eggs, if you get a male Dodo and 3 or 4 female dodos, put it on mating and wondering in a small area… they lay a lot of eggs. After that, remember to remove the eggs from its inventory, otherwise it will happily eat all of them!

I suggest going for a low level and just upgraded weight and speed. At a low level they still need heavy eggs but they wont need as many of them. You need weight cause the eggs are heavy and speed just so it can get around your base faster.
