2. Release Ovi and set him to follow.

3. Ovi picks up wyvern egg.

4. Take egg from Ovi, with no agro.

5. Cryopod Ovi and repeat.

When taming these make a bola and a club and get a egg that you would get at the start (dodo, dilo, etc..) use the bola on it and hit it with the club on the head repeatedly and when it is knocked out put the egg in and let it tame.

These guys are very skidish and will bolt if u get too close

Wanna be a pro? Use these to steal wyvern or magmasaur eggs. Land unpod let it steal the egg and fly away no aggro. Also works for drake eggs but they need a mushroom brew since they aren’t immune to radiation.

I encumbered it with dodo eggs trying to tame it...

One time I knocked one of these out to tame it. It almost died, and in the end, I didn’t realise that it needed eggs, not meat to tame. Sorry for nearly beating you to death little oviraptor.

Take the lowest level one you can find. No matter the level it gives the same egg boost

Fertilized edge are more efficient for taming

You should bring this and a pteranodon to a wyvern best, the Wyverns won’t get angry at you if your oviraptor holds the wyvern egg, as long as you don’t aggro any Wyverns u good, as soon as you have access to a pteranodon saddle, a pteranodon and an oviraptor, you can get some wyvern eggs, the hard parts getting the milk.

Ok guys lisien pls when your gonna tame it bring at least 18 eggs and a big secreat that ark hides is bio toxin it’s like 2 times mor efectiv then narcotics it’s torpor is up to 80 torpor ok so good luck

idk is this tip would help anyone but i noticed they have weight reduction on stone???? i just put some stone on it to keep it stay in place so it won’t wander away and the weight of stoke reduced!!! :-)

Does anybody know if you can tame them with fertilised eggs instead of unfertilised ones?

These guys are fairly shy, so bring a bola, a bat and a healthy supply of eggs if you want one in your base. I have never successfully tamed one, (which I would love to xD) however my past experience has proven that bolas work on these guys and that once knocked out, they prefer bigger eggs (tame a female Diploducus for best results, but be warned, as you might want to upgrade your inventory a few times before attempting to carry the eggs or tame the Oviraptor while it is near your base. Again, I have never personally tamed one of these, but I know how it goes as I have managed to knock them out before.

I wanna get one of these guys so bad to get a wyvern egg but I abously don’t wanna use giga eggs or questzle eggs. But also don’t wanna use Rex or spino eggs. Don’t wanna tame two brontos just to tame an oviraptor. And it takes to many carno or other eggs. Ugh

This is a question that needs to be answered does the oviraptor collect enemy Dino’s eggs if nearby and contested by other oviraptor (PVE) ?????

You want to keep your eggs safe at all times don’t leave the eggs in reach of the oviraptor. Make sure before you log off in multiplayer check your base for any ghille suits with oviraptors and store your eggs safe. Good luck!

Put in taming pen one hit trank arrow on crossbow then put eggs and bio toxin and wait for it to tame but stay on it
