I suggest you mainly look around the redwoods on the island, I have found 4 of them there. After you found one, you wanna try to wait until it is on land because it is easier that way. Next you feed it your raw fish. Prime fish works best. After a little bit of waiting you can feed it again. After a couple of fish, they should be yours!

I found one in a really dangerouse area and let me say it was worth it I love otters sadly my little bouncy died to a raptor soon after tamed I forgot we were in a dangerous area. Poor little bouncy :( she bounced at my feet it was so cute :)

I caught my otter with a argen, just pick it up then press C to pop it into the birds mouth and he can’t escape! Land the birb and feed him Sabertooth fish for a fast and easy tame!! Up so other who don’t know this can see it, the argentavis is very useful for monkeys too!!

Make a small building without a roof, preferably thatch, then get an argie or a pteranodon, go to the redwood river and scout around for the and otter, they don’t live in the swamp section though, then once found pick up the otter with your flying dino, then drop it into the small building you made, then kill a lot of sabertooth salmon, and then feed your otter raw prime fish meet, then soon you have a noodle!

HOW TO TAME!

Firstly kill coels salmons and those annoying pirahnas

Drag the body to the otter

Feed it

Reapeat until it tames

KABOOM! you tame it

ASA SP - To get them to spawn - kill every fish in the very most west of the river north of Redwoods.

Grab them with argy beak, land and bring it fish to tame while still in beak. ( Doesn't work with monkeys )

Be warned, it’s quite tricky to tame these on console, why does they “feed” button have to be the same button as the “drop fish”, just WHY!

I have a baby otter I need tips on how to keep care of it cuz I don't know

Like a neck pillow, they always go missing but sit on your neck and can keep you warm, if a neck pillow had cental heating, it would practically be an otter from ark

Island swamp cave in red woods got them spawn mostly. Kill big fish with crossbow and feed it from swimming below it as the fish size will keep coming in between when feeding the otter.

Pick up with flyer like a pt or argy and feed it while your on it and holding it

They eat raw fish meat. Be careful when taming it DO NOT PUNCH IT or you will fail the tame and it will be aggressive. They live near dangerous area. Be safe. Watch out for piranhas they always spawn in the river. Believe me IF YOU'RE TAMING THIS CREATURE BE CAREFUL FOR PIRANHAS YOU WILL ALWAYS ENCOUNTER IT IN THE RIVERS. (you can put hats on they're heads)

The easiest way to tame this guy since they spawn in often tricky areas, build a small pen near your base (fence founds and wooden fences will do fine just stack the fences to atleast 2 up) go to your local otter spawn and wait till they're on the surface then grab them with a flyer and transport them back to the little cage this will ensure you don't have to swim about in dangerous waters trying to tame them, hope this helped :)

I personally use an itchyornis to get the fish and upgrade it so the process of taking an otter is quicker.

U can track them like any other dino u r taming so u don’t loose them whilst u are mid tame

You can tame a bunch of these in the ponds in the redwoods, they are very easy to tame just swim to the bottom of the pound and feed them fish

In this version, you must consider 2 things:

Fish corpse and (prime) fish meat

(ptera,argy for grab)

Grab fish(don't know the correlation of the fish size and taming effectiveness but) and feed otter fish meat

Be prepare at least 10 fish meat for effectiveness decrease
