Otters give you both hyperthermic AND hypothermic insulation-not everyone knows this. Also if you know where they spawn on lost island that would be great cuz I can't find them anywhere. You otter tame these dudes-best shoulder pet on the island by far.

It took a hot second to find mine, but my recommendation is to look in the red woods (on the island) and make sure you have the fish on hand. Good luck.

Akane- Otters are usually found in Redwoods and South. You can find them in shallow water most of the time, Mobile taming: Kill Sabertooth Salmon, Piranhas and anything that gives fish meat before attempting to tame, It’s easier. If you’re not on mobile simply drag dead fish towards the otter and feed it.

Found One!!! In the River Near Lower South Cave that leads to the Swamp, usually has a spino. Didn’t know they spawned there!! My Base is at lower south cave >:) I’ll be watching closely with my petra, abductees for my zoo !! xD

I had tamed 2 basilosaurus and I was crossing a wide deep river when suddenly like 10 megs attacked. My basilosaurus killed them easily but they accidentally killed an Otter.

I bred otters and the parent killed the baby. Lesson is be careful when breeding otters, some are adorable,cannibalistic maniacs.

They're on Genesis in the Arctic in the east haven't really seen them anywhere else but every map is different. Hope this helps😊
