use your ears! otters make a quiet sound that almost passed as background ambiance. if you hear chattering while you're near a river, there could be an otter nearby. they're otherwise hard to find, sue to their rarity and small size.

Im sorry I've destroyed 3 of these. Iwas on my Baryonyx and I went to the swamp looking for the immune cave and a bunch of paranas attacked me so I did the spin move and in the chat it said like 15 paranas died but an otter also died so after I got the artifact I went home and made a grave. This happen 3 times different swamps.

Having a otter can be really useful booth for collecting pearls and for a friend

On mobile you can find them near the swam towards the easy place to start on the island closest to the swamp I found one but it died….to a compy whist I was taking it :(

Otters are usually found by waterfalls or small lakes in the south zone as a couple or one by itself and can be usually be tamed with fish. They can wear hats too so have fun!

They are not that difficult to find, you may always find couple of these cupcakes in shallow water near RedWood. Just pick up one with your Arge and take it to safe area where you may passive tame it.

Guys no joke this thing can attack you be aware of this

It took a hot second to find mine, but my recommendation is to look in the red woods (on the island) and make sure you have the fish on hand. Good luck.

I bred otters and the parent killed the baby. Lesson is be careful when breeding otters, some are adorable,cannibalistic maniacs.
