Get a collar, bring it out to a very densely grown part of the woods and let them wander. This is a great way to collect berries, fiber even wood and thatch. Gather a work force of them and you can level a forest.
Very good for early game harvesting and can hold its own against small predators eg Dilos and Piranhas. Can be hard or easy to tame depending on the taming speed multiplier. Not much utility outside of early game.
When risen, I like these guys. On a boosted prim server I rode one from Vikings bay to the desert, gathered a ton of meat. Only things what proved troublesome were athropluras and rock assholes...I mean elementals.
These creatures are the best starter dino in ark. I tamed a lvl 90 with 3 mejoberries and it can kill 150 stegos. If you harvest the stego with LT, you can get like 9 prime if u upgrade. Also amazing at getting fiber, better than a therri. And, amazing for thatch!
For organic poly use a high damage dino (spino reaper) to kill crabs and let your moschops farm it. I pumped health and had a basilisk follow me (will work with most dinos you pumped weight on) and transferred the organic poly to it pumped all its levels into poly too
In order for it to gather organic polymer from the kairuku you must kill them first then set the Moschops on aggressive and it will go around eating the corpses. Getting polymer and prime meat. Allocate the points in the options for the Moschops to polymer for it to gather more
I used to have two Moschops. My female, Chomp Baby, was a god send. She would harvest so much materials for me and was loyal to me. Then there’s Mark. Mark is useless. He has been on wander for 30 in-game days. He hasen’t moved an inch. I double checked to see if he was on wander. He was. He was just so lazy, but I still kept him. As a fridge. Then one faithful day, Chomp Baby was gathering for me when she somehow angered a Trike. I watched right before my eyes how the best gatherer I had died. Now Mark was not sad. Mark was too busy being lazy. Mark is not a good gatherer.
