Tips & Strategies

What are tips for moschops? Tips and strategies for moschops in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
Tranq them, fly/take then to your base, then fill it up with:
Sap, leech blood, rare mushrooms, rare flowers, organic polymer, raw prime meat and raw prime fish meat. (IMPORTANT: ALL OF THIS)
Wait for it to tame up, then grab all remaining resources.
Moschops will sometimes require honey and berries to tame, go tame those.
Utility Roles for Moschops:
Early game Mount. This was my first mount I ever had in Ark. Not the fastest but when you are just starting out, having a mount that doesn't require a saddle is a godsend. (level Health and Movement Speed)
Fiber Harvester. After taming, bring it to your base and set to wander. It will collect a crap ton of fibers, more than any dino in the early game! (level Weight)
Combatant (if mounted). Sadly these will not fight for you if you are not mounted on them, but their natural bulk makes them a decent fighting mount in the early game (level Health and Melee Damage)
Kibble Maker. They lay massive eggs. Great for making higher level kibble if you have the ingredients.
My name is ShinyChimchar01 and if you like this tip, I've done similar on the Trike, Raptor, Para, Carbonemys, and Lystro. My next tip will be on the Iguanodon.
Use cooked prime meat it works well.
Those bads boys are must have in early and mid and late game
Fiber, berry, meat, polymer, rare shrom, rare flower, leech blood, fur, chitin, can be easyly haverested whit those guys.
And if you mount them they have pretty decent hp stat and attack stat. With vanilla stats boosts on solo and a moshop of good starting level it's easy to overcome things like rex, alpha raptor and other dino that can mess up with you... with a little bit of reproduction with tame bonus it's a monster in caves.
The 2 downs of those guys are dismounting dinos like microraptors who transforme a war machine into a coward and a lack of jumping ability
If you go back to the main menu and then re enter the game on singleplayer, his desired food will change. Keep doing it until he asks for a berry for an easy starter combat/gathering mount.
I can’t get him or her to fight with me!

DO NOT PUT POINTS INTO MELEE DAMAGE
POINTS put into melee damage do not increase this creatures gathering efficiency. Speaking as someone who has messed up this way (23 times (have a nice little army going)) a much more useful investment is weight, maybe accompanied by some health.
Roughly 6 minutes 45 seconds between feedings.
They are a passive tame, they really like rare flowers, similar to the Lystrosaurus.
