Tips & Strategies

What are tips for moschops? Tips and strategies for moschops in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
I saw a mosh and tried to tame it it took less then 3 minutes.
When sending these guys out to gather, go to herbivore island (the one in the southeast where you must use an Ichthyosaurus or a raft and not the one near the red obelisk) or you run the risk of them dieting to predators. Believe me, I currently have one named Rusty (for his color pattern), and he’s got 1216 health currently. He was attacked by a Spino while he was innocently gathering berries for me one day, and he continued to gather from trees while attacked accidentally biting the Spino as he did so, doing about 200 damage each bite. This MASSIVE amount of damage was enough to scare away the Spino after about 5 or 6 bites, and then my scorpion chased it until it ran to the water for safety in an act of surrender. If you don’t have access to rafts or Ichthyosaurus (do the quest to tame one to get a saddle for it) then do your research on the island’s regions and then find a safe region so your Moschops can gather in peace. Thanks for reading.
It also can want berries so if you can please up it so they can fix this. Thank you
So how to tame a moschops. (It’s easier in mobile)
Final. Get berries of any (I prefer tinto berries) then feed him it will change the wanted food to tame so take Giant bee honey,Rare mushroom and raw mutton!
On mobile it usually requires tinto so have a ton in stock
You can place these in front of trees or bushes in your base, and it will collect wood and thatch, or fiber and berries, then after the trees or bushes respawn, it will collect wood and thatch or fiber and berries again, until it starts to get encumbered and stop. Then, you can collect your resources from its inventory, and it will start automatically collecting again.
If your lucky you can have it only want berrys for early game the one I tamed only wanted tintoberries
These tames are excellent in early game for mass harvesting nacro berries in preparation for tranquilizer arrows, although sometimes they can eat alot of what they harvest. Best for using to harvest resources around your base, they're slow and not very good for scouting.
Level up weight, it pays off because they're too efficient harvesters for their own good. And have a plan for all the hordes of fiber they can harvest, my chests were quickly filled with fiber!
i was walking to find herbivores then i found a level 85! it only wanted tintoberries! i tamed it and it turned level 128, and then we lived a happy life together gathering everything we need
Make it so that you can ride them on mobile
Plus they are good hide targets
These bad boys are probably the best beginner Dino’s. You don’t have to knock them out just passive tame. They can take a variety of things and if you don’t have the thing they want then just go far enough away and the food they want will change. These guys collect insane amounts of fiber and are really good for collecting berries as well. These guys have a pretty good amount of health and their damage is insane. If you level up their damage enough they can do like 200 damage every hit. They also have decent weight. Not good against raptors unless you take them out fast because the raptors can pounce on you and kill you. The moschops is a big scaredy cat and will run from any fight unless you have it on passive. Therefore you need to ride it to put it’s damage to good use. Stuff like raptors and kapros are things that can take you off the moschops and basically your dead unless your a high level and have good gear. Generally just a great mount.
