If you use biotoxin arrows it takes 5 don't forget to ride a cave creature it won't agro when near until you shoot it to tame it then be on a ledg with it bellow you makes it easy to tame

So I found these guys when I was exploring the Chitin caves. Are these guys hostile and could they kill my tame in the caves; would just like to know before I lose my lvl 170 baryonyx because I don’t know what they do?

If you jump on them while they are sleeping, they will wake up and try to eat you. Arrow so people don’t almost have a heart attack and/or near death ride on a sleeping megalosaurus

Do they spawn above ground anywhere on The Island map?

NEW ABERRATION PLAYERS! The Megalosaurus is a common spawn in the Bioluminescent Zone of Aberration, if you go there I would highly suggest bringing a strong Megalosaurus of your own or a strong Ravager Pack, these things will destroy you as they always have their "Night Buff" even if it's technically day time.

Omg! They will knock you off your skiff an wont let you go until you are devoured 😭 all i saw was huge jaws gobbling me up!

During the night don't go outside.......you will see glowing eyes and think it's a troodon which is scary enough so you get on your take and then you find out it's not a troodon.....stay inside at night this thing was spawned by fear and death itself and just pray you do not encounter this thing it will kill you...

Certainly one of the most deadly carnivores on Scorched earth, grouping together into massive packs in caves killing whatever disturbs them whilst sleeping. Lives in caves to avoid harsh sunlight and massive t-rexes which could easily overpower them in day, maybe that’s why they’re weaker in day.

Apparently they can spawn in the hunter cave because I encountered my first one there a few days ago when going to tame a dung beetle

These creatures live in caves and have a stupid amount of health.

If you stumble across one of these sleeping during the day, take note of where it is. Once night falls it is a beast, stay very clear.

If you go alone in a cave don’t if get to close they will wake up and attack you if you have any weapons use them 😨

These things are TERRIFYING!! I was farming chitin in one of the caves and one of these things with its yellow glowing eyes attacked my raptor Favious and I. Thankfully he’s at a high level and saved my life. If you find one of these run, they will not hesitate to kill you.

Hey make sure to have really good armor when trying to tame these. I made the mistake of not doing that and my 1,000 Hp got shredded by a level 50

Went on a hunt for my first one, ended up finding a 150 female! Knocked out, starved out, and the went out of cave for 12 Prime Meat and she was all mine. Lucky day!

On aberration, megalosaurus normally stay in one place unless they see another Dino, so if you are trying to get a quick megalo tame set up a small trap and then shoot the megalosaurus

For those just starting on a aberration world or half way through i would highly recommend you tame urself a high level megalosaur. Beacuse its always night in aberration they have the night /cave buff 100% of the time witch means really high damage good health and stamina. In my opinion i rate the megalosaur as the number 1 dino for getting rockdrake eggs :)
