These guys can be found in caves. Make sure you have Bolas and Bio Toxins on hand, and a small weapons compatible mount. You'll waste Narcotics if you use those instead of Bio Toxin.

I personally find them in the Carnivore Island cave on sparse occasion, and it's nice to find them there as you'll likely have Prime Meat. They cling to the walls and ceiling, and are so quiet you can't often rely on an audio cue. I often eliminate them by accident fighting off Onycs and bugs.

Decently experienced ark player here. When they say the torpor drop for this thing is high it is very high as when I knocked this thing out it woke up in a second. To put simply carry some bio toxin with you.

Easy tame if you bola them and then tranq. Watch their torpor though, it drops fast.

If you're playing on Switch version (which plays a lot better on OLED version btw) you will want Baryonyx Kibble and Bio Toxin

Can be found in the valley below the snow castle (dark fern) on lost island.

If you want to tame one of these DON'T leave the area until it's up. I just found a lv60, knocked it down, got attacked by spiders and scorpions, used stims, went to get more water and it was gone when I got back, not happy :(

Also, use a bear trap or 2 cause these things are quick 👍

If you have a tribe mate have them hold it with their wyvern and shoot it from underneath and you won’t get the rabies disease 😁 learned the hard way 😅

If you want to get an instant tame on a Megalania there’s a glitch right now where they can’t hit dodos and the Volcano beach on Ragnarok has spawns for both of them and the Megalania can’t hit dodos so they wast their stam which uses there food quickly so you might want to get one quick before it’s patched. I got a level 140 male instantly on a single player world on Xbox it might be a thing on PS4 but I’m not sure about PC.

Torpor drain rate is much slower than the timer shows.

Equus back kick i found best knockout and then make sure u have a lot of naco and keep collecting nacoberries with ya equus. Does the job on a level 105

This is easy to knockout if u got kapro u can grab and shoot it

Was taming a 25 and had to shoot it 4x with shock darts to keep it unconscious.

Don’t use narcotics, use bows or slingshots to kill jellyfish and harvest up dem bio toxins m8

(PC user here, taming in the bug cave on the island)

• easy to knock out, hard to keep down. bring a lot of narcotics.

• i brought my megatherium with me, and she was a huge help as she deterred most of the hostile creatures from attacking us. the stuff that DID decide to throw hands... well, it didn't last long.

• WEAR REPELLENT. bring some for your tames, too, if they're tagging along. bring more than you need; you never know how long you're actually going to be in the cave.

• if you don't have kibble, you can kill titanoboas in the cave for prime meat; i tamed a lvl 21 male with it. just don't wander too far from your meg, or it might wake up and decide to eat you instead.

• they can spawn low to the ground! mine was on the very bottom of the wall. if i hadn't seen it before it was too late, i would have walked my megatherium right into it.

191 narcotics for a 145 is not okey. At least 20 more.
