Taming & KO Tips

How do I tame a mammoth? Tips and strategies on taming and knocking out a mammoth.
I tamed a level 40 mammoth, no cheats/tame boost on settings. It ate 100 mejoberry (it said 250 on here) but I needed 102 because spoil times a bummer. It also took 7 narcotics not 76 like it said here. Unfortunately didn't pay attention to how many tranq arrows it took. Hope this helps :)
Lure it to your base, they’re very slow so it won’t catch you. Knock it out on your doorstep
Best way to tame solo is using a tame boat, allows you to easily knock out, then transport to somewhere safe, and more importantly warmer
This thing is 💯 in my big snow mammal squad. I have an op breeding pair of rhinos and I am planning on getting megatheriums as well. And all da monkes as well.
Literally just a 2c2 with 1 high walls and you done
Easiest way to KO a mammoth is to have a guy pick it up with a quetzal and you shoot it from below. If you don't have access to a quetzal use a basic dinosaur trap.
To tame just run and shoot ez taming 50ish tranq darts to be safe just lure out of snow biome
-passerbyer
Apparently the new x2 rates don't apply to mammoth use default base x1 when taming just figured this out.
I'd suggest kiting it to your base and tranq'n it with an anky or dino with high health that you can shoot off to make for an easy solo tame.Get that raptor kibble and bam you got yourself a snuffalufagus. Your welcome
Good for berries late game and or wood saddle is pretty cheap and is a all around good game upgrade its weight or health to tank turrets but a turtle is much better. It can be picked up by a quetzal so you can tame it at your base the attic isn't a very safe place to knock anything out.
It is the best gathering resources creature after the theri it's good at gathering berries and thatch and great at gathering wood sadly it cant gather fiber
You’ll probably only need this tame for wood cause in my opinion it’s pretty useless but to tame it what I did was let it hit my blood wyvern while I shot tranq arrows at it and it was out in under 2 minutes.
The Mammoth is easy to knock out if you know how to. Because of their slow speed you can KO them on your feet by running about 30 feet ahead and turning to shoot them every once in a while.
It's easy to tame one!
Here's a step-by-step guide
Step 1. Find one (in snow biome)
Step 2. Tranq arrow it (watch out they're usually in packs!)
Step 3. When it's knocked out put berries/crops inside it's inventory
Step 4. Don't let direwolves get it
Step 5. Enjoy your new Manny the mammoth from ice age!
(mobile) best way to tame is using vegetable with sppthing palm most easy way to get it is hunters cave. Just bring a 2x2 stone trap almost 100 trank arrows on crossboss 8-10 spike walls and about 50 or 60 carrots 1 soothing palm and make sure you have a good armor or a weapon to fend of hostile and place your trap on a good spot to protect ,the difficult part is to find a lvl300 and luring it . Make sure you have a flyer though PT is good. Goodluck
Hope this works for you.
I did my research on the mammoth and even a level forty mammoth only takes about 18 tranq arrows out of crossbow to knock out.
If play on prim+ this nice dino loves the sorghum. It is like giving it kibbel.
A 3x3 and 2 high trap works great to trap a mammoth for taming
This Dino can only be picked up by a quetz, nothing else
Excellent for gathering wood in the Tundra when the Castoroides is too weak to survive over there. If using a lower level mammoth, simply have a pack of dire wolves follow you and you will never have a problem.
