Do not start smelting with a baby, juvenile or adolescent magnasaur because smelting drains there food and will slower die

IMPORTANT: Its not listed in the harvesting stats,but these babies are incredible crystal farmers too, they don't reduce weight but get a lot more than ankies or doeds.

On the console version they are found in the Volcano Map of Genesis

Magmasaurs cannot (ironically) collect Ambergris or élément. You need an Ankylosaur for that. They do collect tons of everything else.

You can equip the mining drill while riding most tames, magmasaur included. Drill does weight reduction on wood stone and metal so while out farming with your magmasaur you can keep the stone and ditch the doed.

Heads up! Takes a LOT of fall damage.

These things are really good at gathering crystal and obsidian.

Find a high level one and raise it. Imprint it all the way. Now you can harvest decent metal out of ordinary rocks, and get TONS of metal from node rocks. They shame Ankys and elementals, add thatch to your inventory before the harvest, then take it out to get stone and wood, now add stone and wood to your inventory of thatch and build anything. Now sprint in it. See how slow the stamina drains? Nice. Won’t Agro swarms and can defend in a fight. Watch it’s health. Now force feed it Ambergrease, see it regenerate health? Awesome!

Now ponder what breeding for stats will do to make it better...

I don’t believe they did testing for it yet but it does gather obsidian and crystal very well just take a argent with you when you do to carry stuff

Magmars are *better* farmers than anky are for metal. It gathers nearly twice as much at half the melee investment.

They can also damage METAL. It isn't just stone, metal will also get demolished.

Turrets do treat their fireballs like any other explosive and shoot at them.

Some fireballs do make it pass turrets. Fireballs will soak bullets.

Can collect obsidian very well even if Dododex says it can’t!

So I just found this out and didn't see it on here anywhere, but it eats stone best of all!! Like, I wish I had known that from the start.

Fjordhawks take damage on while riding magmasaur through Lava, unsure if shoulder pets have always been affected

If you lvl up oxígen and stamina,you can go fight mossasaurus; but you can't trow the fire Ball obiusly.

For people saying sulfur doesn't work on ps4, it does for me and I'm on rag, never went to lost isles or gen 1, bred them on rag Official servers

They are incredibly good for smelting stuff but their food drains fast so watch out.

So much better than the anky also the mining drill obtains more than the anky...

I went on my normal metal run and got way more than I would an anky with both my mining drill and magma.
