Maewings are passive creatures that flee by leaping and gliding when attacked, so immobilizing one with a net projectile or trap makes taming easier before tranquilizing and feeding it. Meat is generally the preferred food, though berries or kibble can also work. Once tamed, a Maewing serves as a mobile feeding trough for immature creatures when supplied with their appropriate food, though it does not imprint them automatically. It is also a versatile all-terrain mount with fast gliding, strong swimming, good carrying capacity, and the ability to transport babies.
