if you have a maewing with a saddle you can put six-eight babies on the saddle and if you put the maewing on nursing it will feed your babies. you can even ride it with the babies on it's saddle

feed it berries to be nice about knocking it out and welcome it to your dino family thing

Maewings are omnivores but prefer to eat meat out of their inventory so if you're careing for a baby carnivore beware. I lost 3 out of 4 dionicus babys because the maewing ate all the food.

Doesnt eveeyone wish you could swoop from the sky and pounce on dinos like a thylo. Just minding your own buisnes then BAM a flying platipus just belly flopped you.

Even though the Maewing is an omnivore (eats meat or berries), you MUST have the right food type for babies while the Maewing is nursing babies.

For example, if you have the Maewing loaded down with berries, but it's nursing Rexes...the Rexes will starve without meat in the Maewing's inventory 😒

Helloooooo!!! :D Mobile user here! I used god console to get a few of them onto The Island, and they are AMAZING!!! So here is how to use them [Mobile controls] When interacting with them, enabling Nursing will auto-feed any puggles that come to their parents. Also, since they have no In-game gender, you can give them any name- and just PRETEND they are Male or Female! : > also, because of that, both parents will lay eggs. [baby platypuses are called puggles, so the babies are called puggles too.] [I hate the correct plural term for platypus. Platypuses??? It’s like saying octopuses- it’s correct but it SUCKS- ] Also, egg rarities are for different kibbles I guess.. Next, Riding Controls. If you just tap once to jump, you are gonna end up with the lamest, slowest jump. You gotta hold to jump. The longer you hold, the farther you go. There is a limit however, I just.. don’t know the measurement.. :| And while you are in the air, swiping up for the attack will make them spread out their fleshy membrane “wings” and slow down the fall. And if you swipe up while on the ground, there is a body slam attack, and after using it you skid for a bit then stop. But if you are at the coast in the shallowest part possible, when you do it you go for farther AND faster too! You can even continue onto land, which is.. odd but it’s fun nonetheless! And if you get them to high enough hp, you could wade around in the somewhat shallows or swamps and kill a ton of piranhas! As others have said, great for stealing eggs. Or you could just raise certain animals, but where’s the fun in that??

By far the best flying tame.

1. Can swim and dive, can breathe underwater

2. Can glide ultra long distance and not us Stamina

3. Can jump out of immediate danger

4. Quite a quick runner for a flyer

5. Good carry weight.

This thing is going to be able to automatically feed your baby’s. Pretty cool!

Great Tames absolute must tame early to mid game tame hard to knock because they run away and hard to trap with billboards because they just keep walking away but after they are trapped and tamed they have incredible speed if used properly hope this helps

Since it's part platypus, imo it should have a venomous attack, can even see the spines on their back feet. Other than that, great easy tame that takes basic(dodo egg) kibble. Wet nurse, fast travel, decent damage and gatherer of meat and berries.

We don't know how to tame it but I'll tell you what it will do when it's realised on 21st march 2021 in genesis part 2. So this thing will be able to kidnap baby creatures by luring them towards it to suckle on it nipples on the side of its body. It is literally the weirdest creature in the game 😂
