Basically a more controlled glide, but weaker rock drake that also imprints and feeds your babies if the correct food is in the maewing. Rock drake is for fights, maewing for quickly scouting areas and leaving (don’t do that in pvp though). Both are good, but the rock drake can be used more meaning it’s better.

I was only gone out of the game for 15 mins care wasn't for another 50 mins . Had food in its inventory and it still died. It had 100 of 4 types of berries. It must of eat it quite fast as I came back to say it died of starvation. Not a single baby Dino has survived with me

I’ve never seen someone use a maewing but they are sOOO underratted! Recently on my survival i tried to make a race course using them. It’s really fun! Granted i had the occasional carnivore attack but in the end it was a great way to pass time on singleplayer.

To the people that are complain that it's better at gliding than drake are not looking at itd draw backs. It had less damage than a drake,can't climb, cant go invisible,has less health, less stamina, less weight. A lot of ark creatures have similar abilities but some are usually better than others. But with that they will have weaknesses to balance things to try to avoid certain tactics being the "meta". Or what ever kids call it these days. For one tactics for one strategy to be used from only one dino. Wildcard wants a multitude of creatures that can do the same thing but different players will use different creatures for the same task based on personal preferences. The mewing being better at gliding than the drake makes it an awesome well balanced creature. Wildcard did grade a+ work with the new gen 2 creatures. I'm not being a fanboy either trust me I have a lot of things to criticize.

Have already set up a Maewing breeding facility. 3 breeder Maewings (more to come,) 3 incubators, a Tek Gen to power, and then an outside area. Outside, a Tek trough for the adults, and 2 Maewings with nursing efficiency pumped to care for the babies. I’ve been cranking out an army of Perrys.

So once i had one of these on genesis part two and used cryopods to move him to the yucky side, and uh, I popped him out of the cryo and went on a joyride, what, thought this was gonna be a bad ending?

Tame one asap they are fun and op in my opinion

The maewing will never come to ark mobile, it’s just how it is. The devs of Ark mobile are Grove Street Games, not WC. Even then, you don’t even have every creature on the island, only like 80% of the creatures. I feel like ark mobile players should be able to play on scorched earth atleast though, although it might never happen. What I’m trying to say is that mobile players will never get any of those really good DLC dinosaurs and all that, your only getting eerie and 80% of all the dinosaurs.

I found mine in the redwoods in fjordur, it was a level 26 which I speant like half an hour trying to trap by putting billboards in front of it. I then decided to make an actual trap and somehow get it in without having rare flowers. After finishing the trap I swear this guy went in on his own. I had brought 10 crossbow tranq arrows and used 2. I swear this is the easiest tame I’ve ever seen. Also, I recommend getting whichever one first and then flying around the map and getting runestones my aunt maewing is now a lvl 65 with 6500 health

I was looking for these thing on fyordor and I have some insane settings on and the parasour I was rideing was insane so I'm looking around the redwoods and I have all the stuff to tame it and I could not find a single one so I went and got some deinonychus eggs instead

I love Mae's, they are so useful. I was given 2 lvl 250 voids,grew them to 60 percent and gave to a friend to help raise them it works lol she got to 89 with only 560 stacks of meat on official.
