1 large bear trap

3 gate ways

2 gates

1 place bear trap close to Maewing

2 chuck one honey on top

3 wait for maewing to trigger the trap when lured by the honey

4 quickly place three gateways over it and gates

Once done should be an easy knock out. Works especially well for high levels

Feed it mutton easy tame even on official rates

Don’t leave your baby dino’s outside now that people can have this tame,

Tame: knockout (Omnivore so it will eat plants or meat but I feed mine mutton)

Maewing are cute little animals that let you nurse baby animals! That lay eggs both they parents will lay eggs it you mate them. If you you put the food a baby animal eats in a Maewing and enable nursing you can put up to 4 babies ing it and it makes nursing a baby Dino’s a lot easier! They are skittish when you try and tame them so if you plan on taking one make sure you have the nets for animals. In all Maewing are cute pets!

My friend was riding a maewing and I tried to mount it (this was on single player console) but it wouldn’t let me is this normal or just me?

They can’t breed since they are a surrogate mother like creature

I Don't think it will be a knock out tame, I feel it might be something like a basilisk, you give it fertilized eggs to take care of instead of eat. Idk Its a weird useful creature so I doubt it's a knockout but I'm ready to eat my words if I'm wrong

To the person who said it glides better than a rock drake. Well, Maewings are hybrid of Flying squirrels and platypus. (I’d say I’m an expert on squirrels 😏) And flying squirrels don’t fly. They glide, Obviously because of the patanguim between their hands and feet. Flying squirrels can glide up to 150 feet. Wowza. So yes it’s quite the glider, but the rock drake does also have feathers to help glide too. Anyway, just showing some info, and possibly clear some confusion.

The maewing is probably one of the easiest tames in genesis 2.

If you want one, craft 2 or 3 large wooden signs and anything you want to knock it out.

1. Find a high level maewing.

2. When it stops moving, place one sign on top of it, and wait to see if it is stuck. If it is, place the other signs to make sure it doesn’t escape.

3. Knock it out. I recommend using tranq arrows (don’t waste darts in a maewing.

4. Feed it mejoberries (purple berries) so the taming efficiency is high.

5. Congrats on your new high level maewing!

I tamed 1 without a trap today. My method was to practise shooting at low level so I don't lose the high level I want to tame. I knocked it out my shooting it, jumping and then you jet quickly behind it until its landed. Then repeat the process (if you fit 2 shots in with double Crossbow / rifle do it)

You breed maewings it is a bug and can be fix soon so start breeding

I don't have a tip but I have a question if you put food in it and it acts as a feeding truck why not just use a feeding trough.
