Just now encountered one in mobile.

Attacked me all of sudden since i got green perfumed by sea snail... Just when my Lazarus chowder almost finished.

Luckily I'm using my lvl 130 Basilo, so it's not a threat. But boi oh boi, colored me surprised, i was scared silly back then.

You cant go right beside shore or in the middle with a raft if these are there. If you have a house on your boat they'll probably miss but if you dont and their following you for long, your dead. You can use a motorboat to easily outrun them. They are near herb island so go right beside shore there, because theres no sarcos.

On mobile these are neutral and their hitbox is shit so theres a 0.1 chance they will actually do dmg to u

While playing on The Island, I have found that they spawn in the glaciers the most often (I have ran into two there on one trip.) . We have two rafts, which they will destroy. I believe that they are also afraid of the player(s), so that would be helpful to know when you encounter one; if you do. If one does attack your ship and you don’t have the weapons to fight or are not looking to fight it, go to the nearest glacier and beach your raft. You can dip into the water for a second and check to see if it is fleeing, as it is not looking for a fight. Wait for some minutes, (preferably 5) and check again before leaving. It is always good to have extra materials for a new raft, and for repairs. If you are elsewhere and have ran into one, (which I have not, so I can’t give a proper tip) I would just abandon the boat altogether, if not near land. We bring flying mounts on own rafts, so that is a quick escape from other fish that will eat you. Or, just scrap the boat altogether and get a pelagornis.

Their path finding is easy to defeat. The simple method is to not go into open water, but if you must, just reverse into them. They turn wider than your raft and you can stall them until you reach the shallows. Also they sometimes don’t aggro on players, so try jumping out of your raft and swimming until you can place another raft.

If you see it run or you and your boat will be gone

A motorboat can outrun it, just make sure to have gasoline. Motorboat is unlocked at lvl 57, and you need: 250 wood, 1200 metal ingots, 180 fiber, 150 obsidian, 400 polymer and 60 black pearls.

To stop the confusion the big fat whale can’t deal damage on mobile or eat ur boat and it’s not aggressive on mobile too

I found an alpha whilst on a raft. It was nearly beached then turned around & one shot destroyed my raft. Had this happen a few times & it comes out from nowhere.

A lot of them spawn just off the shore of Carno Peak 👍

Doesn’t agro on you unless you are riding a boat 🤷‍♂️ Other than that, it’s passive at least for mobile that is

Ok so I was going to harbavor Island on my Dolphin and I saw it I thought it was going to eat me but it didn't so I went to read what it was so I went to this app to find out what it was and it was a wale

If you attack them they WILL fight you back but with a raft they will just kill you.
