The best way to tame one of these in my opinion grab your bow/crossbow at least apprentice let it grab you and make sure you have at least 250 health let it grab you and start blasting it with tranq arrows that is how I tamed a lvl 110

I lost my lvl 13 starter raptor named delta.. I was on delta running through the woods and a pair of therizenos got pissed that we ran up in there sneaky time so.. we run to the beach and see a trike.. runs by it and prays that the theris accidently hit it and it fights the the trik.. the ohio big birds arriv amd start hitting me and delta but don't accidently hit the trike.. so me and delta run up a hill and then we get chased off track into the swamp by my my friend and his carno.. he jumps off and chases me on foot and bolas my raptor.. so I run into the red woods but die from a snake.. and when I respawn I see a text on the top of my screen saying.. mrbigpp 64 dided my raptor.. and then he died.. I plan to get revenge on that wreckless killer.. I also didn't like the fact that he sacrificed his carno to kill me and delta. I got punted all the way to the moon/back to square 4. Square 4 is getting a raptor pack but I got smashed by my fren so I plan on raiding his base in real life and dropping a large brontosaurus feces in his defication chair/toilet. Rehehe.

I don't totally hate these guys but here's why raptors are better... kapros are slower then raptors when on land and a little faster then raptors in water but still they aren't that fast in water.. when they pounce a player the player can fight back and raptors when they pounce you can't fight back and yeah getting pounced by a raptor is a death sentence. Raptors are faster. There saddle in unlocked way earlier. And there easier to tame.. they also have a better chance to be used more then kapros also they have better attack speed.. for kapros they have swim speed, damage, they can hold something in there mouth for a longer time compared to the raptors pounce attack which can only hold something down for like.. 5 seconds.. raptors are still way better though.

What is better to have as a mount, kapro or sarco. Up for kapro down for sarco. Ty

Are these things a subspecies of the sarcosuchus?

The most sincerely safe and foolproof tactic is to get a spino. To tame, find a kapro and unmount the spino. U will be standing on it's neck. Shoot the kapro while standing here. U might need to reposition a few times but becareful dun fall off. Spinos are great as u dun risk urself being snatched off and slowly be drained of life.

To be honest don't even go to the swamps anymore. First the leeches know this. I would have a compound bow out at all times. Compound bow because it has the fastest melee speed of all ranged and melee weapons. Also be careful about being on a flyer cause kaprosuchuses can knock you of your mount. So, weapon: compound bow. Mount: Tapejara.

Simply don't go near one without anything significantly larger than it. I have seen it pick up raptors, which is very dangerous for low players. Your best bet is to find out where it is if you can so when the kaprosuchus jumps at you just dodge to the side and run as fast as possible.

Kaprosuchus are incredibly annoying in the wild but once you manage to tame one at a high enough level they can genuinely be some of the most fun creatures to use in ark. Running around grabbing smaller dinos and EATING THEM ALIVE WHILE THEY CAN’T FIGHT BACK is surprisingly fun to do. I also quite enjoy just walking up to a random wild raptor, grabbing it and running around with it in the kapro’s mouth while it fumbles and spams it’s attacks. I just carry wild raptors around and bring them near their natural prey letting them attack WHILE I’m carrying them. Lots of fun things can be done with this thing

I was looking for an explorer note on my ptera on time. I was low on stam so rested on a rock in the area by the redwoods and the swamps, thinking I was safe. Five seconds later, one of these mutated sarcos came up and tried to kill me. Thankfully I had enough stam to fly away. The moral of this tale? The swamps suck. And so do the redwoods

How to tame the Kapro:

First you need a club or crossbow and tranq arrows, about 40 raw meat(no prime needed) and a few bolas(optional

let yourself be kidnapped or use a bola and ,while inspecting their teeth, tranq it out. You can’t miss(or I will come for you). Feed it meat and boom.
