Are these things a subspecies of the sarcosuchus?

The most sincerely safe and foolproof tactic is to get a spino. To tame, find a kapro and unmount the spino. U will be standing on it's neck. Shoot the kapro while standing here. U might need to reposition a few times but becareful dun fall off. Spinos are great as u dun risk urself being snatched off and slowly be drained of life.

To be honest don't even go to the swamps anymore. First the leeches know this. I would have a compound bow out at all times. Compound bow because it has the fastest melee speed of all ranged and melee weapons. Also be careful about being on a flyer cause kaprosuchuses can knock you of your mount. So, weapon: compound bow. Mount: Tapejara.

Simply don't go near one without anything significantly larger than it. I have seen it pick up raptors, which is very dangerous for low players. Your best bet is to find out where it is if you can so when the kaprosuchus jumps at you just dodge to the side and run as fast as possible.

Kaprosuchus are incredibly annoying in the wild but once you manage to tame one at a high enough level they can genuinely be some of the most fun creatures to use in ark. Running around grabbing smaller dinos and EATING THEM ALIVE WHILE THEY CAN’T FIGHT BACK is surprisingly fun to do. I also quite enjoy just walking up to a random wild raptor, grabbing it and running around with it in the kapro’s mouth while it fumbles and spams it’s attacks. I just carry wild raptors around and bring them near their natural prey letting them attack WHILE I’m carrying them. Lots of fun things can be done with this thing

How to tame the Kapro:

First you need a club or crossbow and tranq arrows, about 40 raw meat(no prime needed) and a few bolas(optional

let yourself be kidnapped or use a bola and ,while inspecting their teeth, tranq it out. You can’t miss(or I will come for you). Feed it meat and boom.

I was looking for an explorer note on my ptera on time. I was low on stam so rested on a rock in the area by the redwoods and the swamps, thinking I was safe. Five seconds later, one of these mutated sarcos came up and tried to kill me. Thankfully I had enough stam to fly away. The moral of this tale? The swamps suck. And so do the redwoods

The kaprosuchus will be deep in the swamps, this is not ideal as unwanted aggressive creatures will be lured unless taken care of.

The easiest way to knock out a kaprosuchus would be to use an argentavis or quetzal (argentavis would allow for the creature to be tamed earlier on as it is easier which would be ideal for smaller tribes) to transport to a small taming cage or box. Make sure if you are using an elevated point it is high enough to not get leaped at as the kaprosuchus has a very deadly leap attack, the cage must be tightly sealed as the kaprosuchus has a slim body which can fit through tight gaps and crevices which could lead to the tame losing torpor if not paying attention. The kaprosuchus will move around a lot as will other creatures so you will have to be accurate if you want to use your tranqs to their full extent and not waste any. Although the torpor depletion is quite slow you will want to either make sure the food is on hand or nearby on the knockout.

The poor thing can barely carry a naked human on its back, let alone his/her equipment. But hey, it’s the closest thing we can get to pre-nerf flyers.

I found out you can't escape this creature you're screwed if you try to do that but you can let it charge you and jump when it jumps dodge it and then chase it's tail they have the same turning radius as a sarco they might bite you sometimes but you can kill them before they kill you after all I killed one with my fists, I didn't know what it was so I walked up to it and turned around and ran from me and then turned back around and charged me and killed me so I needed to get my stuff back but he was there so he jumped as soon as he did that I ran to my left and dodged it and ran around his tail punching him until he ko apparently they have low torpor
