What are tips for iguanodon? Tips and strategies for iguanodon in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
This guy is absolutely SPECTACULAR for an early game gatherer and attacker steps on how to tame: 1 encounter an iguanodon and make sure you have at least 2 bolas ready 2 after you knock it out with a club or fists etc, feed it a bunch of berries and after about 5-10 minutes you have an iguanodon! Hope this was helpful :D
I was making a trip to the volcano on my pteranodon and while I was in the air a micro raptor knocked me off my pteranodon and I fell on the beach surrounding the redwoods I died and I came back to see my pteranodon dead I then died again attempting to get my stuff back I then brought my iguanadon and I died after a micro raptor knocked me off again I came back and to my surprise my iguanadon was fine and standing heroically over my dead corpse I then get my stuff and start heading back when the same thing happened in the swamp but there were 3 dimorphs and when I came back they were all dead while my iguanadon had a mere scratch and he fended off a total of 4 dimorphs 5 titanaboas and 2 microraptors at least
Tl;dr iguanadon is a tank and is epic
You can switch between modes (attack and sprinting)
All you have to do is swipe down and when the iguanadon is on all fours you have unlimited stamina and no need to upgrade stamina just make sure it over 200 but this is not the best fighter but at least you can outrun raptors and most predators on them just swipe down to go on all fours and swipe up to be on attack mode ....
When on attack mode it can jump really high (2 walls or one and a half)
Also if you have some Azul berries or narco berries or any berries in general or any vegetable/fruit in the game and you need seeds just put them in his inventory and it will transform them into seeds alright that's all that I know about thanks for reading😘♥️
I hope that helped out thanks♥️
Saw this one near my base on beach and used a bola on it and IT JUST GAVE ME A ✨BOMBASTIC SIDEYE✨👀 I tried to bola it again ofc and It suddenly chase me, my raptors needed to kill it cause its damaging the walls in my base.
I have one and I think it can use a saddle but I’m not sure but it is very very very fast must need Dino for really anybody
How to tame an iguanodon:
1. Bring some bolas
2. After you find an iguanodon, throw a bola at it
3. Then start shooting it with a tranquilizing ammo like tranq arrows or certain darts.
4. After it's knocked out, feed it berries, veggies, or preferred kibbles.
Hope this helped!

Bola works when aimed at the legs/torso.
They are great traveling dinos, they have decent weight and they can fend off things like raptors, sabers, and maybe carnos and baryonxs if you level attack. They can turn berries into seeds, one berry=one seed, it's crazy. And they take up absolutely no stamina when they run on their quadruped stance, on all four legs, they only attack on bipedal stance though. Overall, great creature to make long trips, from beginning game to mid game. I suggest leveling speed and health, then weight afterwards. Theres no need for leveling attack if you can outrun pretty everything. Except gigas..........in that case, just stop, put head between your legs, and kiss your a$$ goodbye.
These things are insanely fast! I'd been spending most of my time using my lvl 231 Raptor as my main scouting Dino, with a speed of 129%, but it can barely keep up with my new 235 Iguanadon with a speed of 122% even when it's on 2 legs.
Once it drops down to 4 legs, it leaves my Raptor behind almost immediately.
And while it uses no Stamina when sprinting on all 4, it still uses almost no Stamina when sprinting on 2 legs.
I've sprinted around for agges on two legs, so my Raptor could keep up, and even with only 940 Stamina, it never even reached 3/4
Do yourself a favour and get one ASAP. Sure they're good for gathering and seeds, but their true purpose is as a shot to long distance scouting mount, or even as a taming mount, since you can use your bow while riding, and it's head doesn't get in the way when you shoot.
Absolute MUST HAVE, okay?! These things can be beasts if you know what to upgrade, and have a very high level. They are pretty fast (way faster than parasaurs) and they have two speeds (a trot and a sprint). They are veryyyyy easy to tame, such great starter herbivore. GET YOURSELF AN IGUANADON TODAY (all in my opinion btww)

BEST STARTER PET EVER! Whoop whoop! I have a level 33 and he’s AWESOME. For starters they can jump over wooden and stone Dino gates... Great for raids! (Not bethmoth) Also they make seeds! Super fast on four legs. Super easy to bola then knock with a bat. Or fists or yknow. One more thing, There’s AMAZING at getting berries. I got like 500 from about 5 bushes. Mines named diet of air and we go exploring on my raft. GREAT TAME! 👏
This Dino is 5x better then the parasaur and also gets more berrys suck that PARASAUR
This is the best tame for long distance travel! It has two ways of running, one being on all fours. I recommend this way because no matter how long you’ve been running, no stamina ever gets used up!!! If on all fours, you will seem to be galloping, if on back legs, you will be moving side to side. Just simply flick down (on mobile) to transition back to fours!
