Tips & Strategies

What are tips for iguanodon? Tips and strategies for iguanodon in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
Gets rare flowers to the point that they don't feel rare. Infinite stamina in run mode along with a good base weight, along with the ability to use tools on its back makes for an all purpose tame that makes the trike feel completely obsolete, cannot recommend enough.
Here are reasons that this is an awesome travel Dino.
-1: this thing is good at collecting berries to eat/for taming herbivores.
-2: the iguanodon has infinite stamina when running on four legs.
-3: the iguanodon has very high weight.
-4: the iguanodon can battle anything that is below a raptor in attack.

They eat berries and is a fairly fast tame but however left unattended it will be killed. These dinos are highly targeted when they are unconscious.
Really really early in the game, as a brand new noob, I discovered a level 23 iguanodon and looked it up here. The reviews were so good that I immediately resumed the game and beat the snot out of it until it fell asleep, then tamed it with mejoberries. Now it’s my personal rank, named “Iggy.” Nothing has stopped it yet- except a gang of compys and a few giant ants. But the game crashed and when I reloaded it I had iggy back.
Pray for edna she has gone missing 1like =one prayer for edna.😢😢😢😥😥😥😥😥😥😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
This guy usually spawns in the south end jungles go like so newbies like myself know where they spawn
1. Iguanodons are fast.
2. They are easy tames.
3. Loses no stam when on all fours.
4. Jumps.
I have no idea why no one talks about their amazing ability to gather berries. If you want rockarrots, or a ton of berries, get the iguanodon. It takes out the bush in 1 swipe, and gives twice the berries you would possibly get with a parasaur. Another thing is, on all fours they outrun direwolves. That is good for leading a wild direwolf into another place. Iguanodons have the ability to change colors a bit at night. I have posted mutiple posts about Iguanodons color changing. Yet no one has posted it yet. I HAD an Iguanodon, but I had to kill it due to a dire wolf. That attempt ended terribly. The direwolf had taken damage because my Iguanodon nearly killed it! So I had to kill it sadly... But Iguanodons color change! She was all brown, and at night changed to blue. Another Iguanodon I saw was orange, but changed to a demon red.... Get an iguanodon. I really recommend it. They just may be a bit hard to find at first.
Just did my first ever metal mission to Herbie island! I ran from spawn to the herbie island channel on my iguanodon, popped in my brand new raft, and started paddling... made it to the island fine, started taming my first anky, and my iguanodon frikkin shows up! This guy SWAM all the way to herbie island past goodness know how many megs and leedsicthys! This animal is such a beast!
Utility Roles for Iguanodon:
Mount. One of the best mounts in the game. On all fours the have infinite stamina! (level Movement Speed to cover more distance)
Combatant. Due to their infinite stamina, you can use them for a combat mount and make a quick escape if you get low on health. (level Health and Melee damage)
Harvester. You can use them to harvest a lot of berries. They have less weight than the Parasaur but their infinite stamina makes up for it (level weight, Melee Damage, and Movement Speed)
My name is ShinyChimchar01 and if you like my tip, I've done similar on Trike, Raptor, Carbonemys, Lystro, Para, and Moschops. Next one will be on Sarco
Honestly, I’ll said it before and I’ll say it again, this guy is a parasaur on steroids. Whenever I got out on a resource run I take my iguanadon, Richard, with me because his weight and stamina is insane. He can carry stacks on stacks of stone and wood, and his stamina allows me to get away quickly if a predator agros on me. I recommend upgrading weight, stamina, and movement speed. Seriously one of my favorite early game tames.
Iguanodons: all you need to know
(Sorry that it’s so late)
Iguanodons are medium herbivores, capable of being both bipedal and quadrupedal, meaning that they can walk on two or four legs. Iguanodons are actually some of my most favorable tames, as they are extremely fast and have infinite stamina in quadruped form. Making them much better than equi as steeds. They have a unique ability that makes them very valuable to farmers as well; they can pluck the seeds from fruit. This is supper useful, as farmers can take rare crops and give them to a trained iguanodon to seed and plant. Sadly, no matter how hard you train an iguanodon, it will always eat the fruit it seeds. Meaning, in this case, you can not “have your cake, and eat it too.” To tame one of these creatures, you must first incapacitate it some how, as they will quickly run away when they feel like they will lose a fight. After, simply use a club or any other means of knocking and feed it berries. Killing an iguanodon is rather easy if you are equipped fairly decently. Simply use any type of melee weapon or good tame. Just make sure you have enough health to survive. I hope this has helped you. Have a great day!

This thing is faster than rapter and jump so high it's impossible to hide from thank god it is vegetarian if it was carnivorous then even carno seem vetter then this nightmare fual
EXCELLENT early game mount, due to it's infinite stamina when quadrupedal. Easy to get saddle, and makes seeds from berries. A little squishy though.
When I was starting the game a saw a iguanadon and wanted to kill it because I needed meat so I ran up to it and poked it with my spear and died, I respawned and saw a rock so I hoped on it and I didn't slip off so I ran up to the iguanadon and poked it again and bolted to the rock and hoped on and started poking, after a while the iguanadon started to run so I hoped of the rock and killed it, the next day I found out that iguanadons have infinite stamina and was so mad at myself for not taming it.
