Aka jerkbirds. Managed to tame one once, never did anything it said they were supposed to do. Up this if you want to watch them be torn apart by random pteras or swallowed by the dozens from a megaladon.

(Remember, this is a tip for pc players only, I have no knowledge about ark nintendo switch or xbox)

How to tame a very annoying flying attacking seagull:

1. Grab a bola (get more than 3 if your aim is trash)

2. Get a club, bow, tranq arrows and narcotics (these guys have extremely low health even on high level ones so i recommend you use the club)

3. These are piscivores, so bring fish meat or prime fish meat (regular kibble recommended if you are taming a high level one)

4. Bola it and use club or maybe tranqs I guess XD

5. Put the food in its inventory and feed it narcotics (the torpor drain is quite slow but these guys don't have a lot of torpor themselves and their food drain rate is really slow)

6. You now have an ichthy! Very useful on pvp servers btw

Literally Satan, kill it before it steals all your items your children and your dog. I don't care if it's good for gathering fish, I need a genocide of these guys after they stole my mastercraft crossbow and pick.

Dangerous beast they can instantly drop dead a giga and most scary they can steal your 42 raw meat

Like the pegomastax,the seagull will still steal from other players but it does steal food but it eats the entire stack.

These guys are the worst I hate them 😡 they steel my stack of bullets and spawn on me at the worst time and it is kinda hard to get a shot on so aim good.

Today I saw an ichthys catch a fish.

So I went over with my Pteradon and hit it before he could eat it.

My pteradon actually stole the fish right out of that things mouth.

That, and then killing it right after felt better than anything ever.

Don't Aggro these guys unless you want them to go full Finding Nemo on you.

A good way to tame this creature is to lure it,if u have any items especially meat lure it with that. it will swoop giving u a window to bolas and then trank it.

DON’T use a tamed ichthyornis to kill a wild ichthyornis. They’ll just fly in circles and do nothing!

Me and a mate were walking home on dinoback with our two newly tamed pegomastx. We both had monkeys, so they had to walk. All of a sudden, a seagull swoops down and PICKS UP A PEGO. It started to fly away, but a slug from my shotgun turned it into Swiss cheese. Pilfer (the pego) was fine but traumatized. Never underestimate an icthy

If you knock one out and it falls in the water, it will drown and die while unconscious. Also, you can’t retrieve the things it took from you in its inventory, which blows.

If it steals your things kill it as quick as you can bc it takes time to eat what it’s stolen so you could get your stuff back. I get attacked by these while flying my argy so I quickly one shot them

When using find some fish

Place your bird on the ground

Set hunt and retrieve

Set aggressive

Wait

Use hatchet and you'll get PFM from the fish it brings back once you're done getting fish set neutral and pick up your bird.

Just tamed one and I set it to hunt and retrieve and it just gave me the fish it was so cute 🦆🦢🥺

If you see it, kill it with fire

Bola then tranq they have low health use tranq gun or try to punch 👍

THESE SHOULD BE LIKE PEGOS BJT THEY STEAL NARCOTIC AND KNOCK THEMSELVES OUT

This bastard will keep attacking you. Even if you're in your base. It will destroy everything. JUST GO STRANGLE IT NOW.

How to tame an Ichthyornis!

1. Grab a bola, (unlocked lvl 8), and get its attention so it attacks you.

2. When it comes to dive for you, bola it.

3. Grab your bow (unlocked lvl 10), and tranq arrows (unlocked lvl 21) and shoot it 2-4 times.

4. After its knocked out, put fish meat in the inventory. It will take a couple minutes to be tamed, so you might have to hit it again with a tranq arrow when the torpidity is low. (Make sure not to kill it!)

It will gather a lot of fish meat. I mean a LOT of fish meat!
