Females will produce Golden Eggs after killing and consuming 5 fish.

However, they are still really bad.

I know im abit late on giving advice on this game but just started playing it. Anyhow... these still go after dead fish and still lay eggs but the fish need to be in water. Ive been experimenting as i have just tamed my first along with my first ichthyornis.

Get your Hesperornis to eat the fish and get golden eggs.

Saves swimming about everywhere trying to find fish then aiming at it to send your Hesperornis

Feed the babies fish. On The Island, use these as an Organic Polymer farm if you can't survive the cold long enough to get Kairiku (or are plain unlucky.)

There are a lot of these guys around cragg’s island.

Harvest them with sword for organic polymer.

What do golden eggs even do lol

Simple eggs when you cook them they are cooked to oil.. spend some time to figure out. Anyway, some gasoline to advance tech machinery

Breeding these guys

Well, after being kicked by these guys some times, I decided to breed them myself, so here goes some tips:

Mating: they can mate on ground so no need to be in the water

Hatching time: 1:30 hour

Baby feed: regular fish meat - raw or cooked

Growth rate: approx 1% every 10 min - pretty fast

When they reach 10%, normal collective feed on feeder

The higher the lvl, the more they eat meat

These values are based on official PVE server. No clue how it goes on other servers.

How to farm golden goose eggs:

1. Let your hesperornis harvest 5 coel, piranha, or salmon corpses using its dive attack (1)

2. Bring it on land so it can lay a normal egg (1)

3. Let your hesperornis harvest 5 coel, piranha, or salmon corpses using its dive attack (2)

4. Bring it on land so it can lay a normal egg (2)

5. Let your hesperornis harvest 5 coel, piranha, or salmon corpses using its dive attack (3)

6. Bring it on land so it can lay a normal egg (3)

7. Let your hesperornis harvest 5 coel, piranha, or salmon corpses using its dive attack again (4)

8. Bring it on land so it can lay a golden egg

9. Repeat the entire process for more golden eggs

Remember that this process requires no luck but purely work and perserverance

There eggs no longer produce extraordinary kibble so they are officialy a useless tame done waist your time.

Since these can drop Organic Polymer, you can kill them to get ahead and craft fabricated items far before you venture out into the snowy area with obsidian or the icebergs with penguins

Holy crabs it took me two hours with a friend to tame but it turns out the thing does like a hundred thousand damage to all fish ( otters do it too)

Farm them for polymer also cuz they kill Kaikru the penguin!!!!!!!!!

Maewings cannot pick them up as babies. Nursing mode still works. Possibly a bug

When they lay an egg pretty much oil also comes out💀 it can be made into gasoline

Very good way to get organic polymer in the early game, since they spawn in south a lot.
