To tame use the same as an argy trap three or four gates two doors and just run inside and trap it. I recommend having someone there to feed it narcotics as it can be hard to find vois sometimes.

Just tamed my first griffin on fjorhor, level 135 and it’s mostly easy if you just have a harpoon gun and net projectiles, also I used tranq darts but obviously you could just build a trap for it and there’s plenty of tutorials on YouTube but I just found it easier and less time consuming if you just net it.

Has anyone noticed that if you tame a low level (my 2 were both lvl 16) after they are tamed all stats decrease by a good margin.

I’ve found the best way to tame these guys is with a net gun. Depending on the level I wouldn’t recommend *just* netting it, though. Once it’s down you can build a quick trap around it using foundations, door frames (singles, not doubles), and ceilings. Even just 1 level of door frames with a ceiling on top and it won’t be able to escape when the net breaks. Much easier than trying to fly them into a trap. [Method tested!]

You need to make a trap out of stone and stone pillars plus a Dino gateway

On rag, can be found near beaver dams near the middle of the map next to mountains. Every single griffin I have found there has been glitches and stuck flying in a circle so there will be there unless aggro’d by someone or something. You can use an argy trap to trap it and then knock it. Then get mutton and boom, you have a griffin. One of the easiest mobile tames.

You can tame these Tweety birds by capturing them in a net, then you can use the tranq darts, tranq arrows, or shock tranqs to knock them, Then you will need extraordinary kib to tame or meat, and you got yourself a Diving satanic tweety😁-Smiley

Build a pen, lure the Griffin into the pen, knock it out, let it wake up, knock it out again, then feed it mutton. 100% taming effectiveness. With an ascended crossbow it's not to many arrows for a knock out. Like 40 each time for a 150. Hope it helps!!!

On Ragnarok I found 8 of them in 3 days in the area near the green obelisk, they spawn around the mountains. You fly over the spawn point when you fly from the central canyon to the green obelisk.

1 build a cage.

2 kill everything around them.

3 shoot a arrow at it when your in the cage.

4 close the door when he’s in it.

Wouldnt recommend taking low level ones , just wait ..mine just got killed by about 6 bugs

Highlyyyyyy recommend not using tranq arows. Darts are more expensive but defenitly risk free.

Make sure u bring alot of narco berries because its topo is a joke

just build a pen using stone pillars (3 high) and a dinosaur gate. grab a pteranodon and lure him in it. The pteranodon will fit through the pillars and the griffin will be trapped

If you tame from a flyer, bring something tanky and faster than them. Also, if you use a cage, still stay back. They have a VERY large hit radius.

Pretty simple tame if you try and tame it with a cross bow just count in between shots 5-7 seconds I use Dino gates to trap it and prime to tame it does take a minute tho just make sure you trap it

You don't necessarily need tranq darts as the other guy said. You can tame it with a crossbow, but a very high quality one of that. Tamed one with a mastercraft 207% DMG crossbow, almost died with an hp of 180. Super spyglass saved me from killing it.
