I tamed one of theses without a trap but it took ages even though it was only lvl 10 , definitely use a trap

4 stone gates and 2 gates on each end worked fine for a 150. Knocked it out with prim crossbow and hecca mounts of tranq arrows. Really ope dis helps :)

This is way I do , personally.

1.make atleast, 4 or 5 STONE dinosaur gates and 2 stone dinosaur gate doors

2. Make a Net launcher thing and a net projectile.

3. Make sure that you're on a tame or have on some good armor so while it's going at you, you don't die

4. Shoot the net projectile at the griffin and then place the stone gateways over (with little gaps so you can shoot but also small enough ot can't glitch through) and the put the gateway doors in.

5. I would suggest using longneck, crossbow or compound bow (if you have the m available) but a regular bow works as long as you have , I would say 20-40 TRANQ arrows.

6. Try aiming for the head so it can speed things up with 4-7 second intervals

7. MUTTON is going to be the BEST taming food once it's knocked

With the release of Genesis Part 2, you can use the net projectile to stop the griffin in it's tracks

if you are taming one you should make trap so it wont run away with high torpor and if it wake’s up you can knock it out again

Griffins are just one of the best flying mounts in the game they can do some crazy dive bomb move and it takes damage, you can even use weapons on the mount and you can tranquil enemies from them and they cannot get you

To tame this magestic beast, hit it to anger it, take it high into the sky (away from all things itll try to attack) and lure it into a trap made for pters to be able to pass through. They create dust which makes it hard to see where you need to hit at times. Its takes a ton of tranq darts. But its worth it. Pump stam, health and weight and its a faster tape. And its beautiful. Have fun :P

Says 90 some tranqs from a crossbow for a 145. It takes 129 arrows out of a crossbow.

Look up Nobblets newest griffin trap, cheap and super easy to build works great for argies as well.

I recommend using the trap syntac made in his taming a max level griffin video. It’s soooo much better than the gates. Btw a pteranodon can dint through the space between two pillars, a griffin can’t

An incredibly good and cheap taming pen for a Griffin is using on dino stone gateway and 4 stone fence supports. Search Kaizer from Crete on YouTube. I used it last night to tame a 145 Griffin. 10/10 (also works with Argys) 👍

I was taming a 74 with a tribe mate, took three prime meat and it said I needed seven 🤔.

btw I used used 4 Dino gateways and 2 gates to trap.

Good ol net harpoon and mantis with clubs and you’ve got yourself a freshly tamed Griffin

To the person who said the griffin should eat other kibbles griffins aren’t on the island

130 tranq arrows 2 crossbows for a 145 20 pieces of mutton to tame approx 48 minutes 4.9per mutton

Just tamed my first griffin on fjorhor, level 135 and it’s mostly easy if you just have a harpoon gun and net projectiles, also I used tranq darts but obviously you could just build a trap for it and there’s plenty of tutorials on YouTube but I just found it easier and less time consuming if you just net it.

To tame use the same as an argy trap three or four gates two doors and just run inside and trap it. I recommend having someone there to feed it narcotics as it can be hard to find vois sometimes.

Has anyone noticed that if you tame a low level (my 2 were both lvl 16) after they are tamed all stats decrease by a good margin.
