Considering taming this mythological beast? I may have a few ideas how! But first off, everything I say in this tip is of course what I recommend, you can tame this however you want! All I can say is good luck! Now where were we? Yes alright let’s start with the supplies one would need to tame this! First a rifle and some darts, this will be a must have, as it does little to no damage with maximum torpor! Pack at least 50 of them (pack more in case you miss) Next consider bringing a net gun! This will be usefull for keeping them in one place for a easy knockout! And finnaly the kibble and narcotics you will need: depending on the server I would recommend bringing 300/200 just to be safe, as well as 3/7 kibble, they like extraordinary kibble! Next is where to find said beasts! They can be found on; crystal isles, the island, fjordur, raganrok, scorched earth, and lost island! Alright the knockout process is fairly simple; step 1 locate a griffin! Step 2, Shoot it with a none torpor inducing weapon to lure it to you! Step 3, Net it! Step4 make it regret coming to you (aka knock it out with ease) Step 5, feed narcotics, and give it the kibble and bam you got a griffin! What are you supposed to do with said griffin? Well here’s some ability’s the griffin uses! First it has a dive witch can be converted into a swift glide, or used as a massive slam into the ground doing surrounding damaged depending on how fast your decent is! Next is this is the ONLY flying tame you are able to shoot from while riding it, making it a solid choice for aerial warfare in pvp! It also has room for 2 passengers! But griffins are made for both the sky and the ground, making them a versatile mount! Hope my info helped!! Good luck out there!

Please stop saying allo kibble or name requirements here. This is a PC Griffin page and I have been confused cause of this. Please restrict that to royal griffin page. Also this is a regular knockout tame, just use the 4 dinosaur gateways with 2 gates and u are good.

These things are aggressive not friendly.

Feet hit the bay, look around black sand, hear a hawk noise, look up.

Proceed to pray to Thor. Because the Griffin is divebombing your noob a**

Use tranq darts to knock it out it's a TON easier go for a high lv if your going to tame one there really fast and can dive yw

They are the fastest creature in ark, it's a good adquisition

How to tame a Griffin:

1. Find a flat area for the trap.

2. Set up 6 Stone Dinosaur Gateframes in a row with a Reinforced Dinosaur Gate on the 1st and the 6th Gateframe.

3. Make the Griffin follow you by either coming near it or shooting at it.

4. Make it follow you inside the trap and quickly run out and close the Gate.

5. Shoot the Griffin with Tranq Darts (Arrows are only going to kill it).

6. Feed the beast meat.

And you tamed a Griffin. It doesn't require a saddle so you can use it instantly after taming it.

Their fast dive bomb ability makes them a prime canidate for escaping wyverns after stealing an egg.

They can strafe like a tapejara. Good way to mitigate their bad turn radius is hold left or right while looking where you want to turn. Cuts radius in half.

Starve timer is waaaaaaaayyyy off.

Best map to find these is crystal isle theres a trench full of them in dessert

Absolutely fantastic mounts. Up their stamina a few times as well as their weight, and you've got yourself a fantastic globe-trotter. I use mine for getting supply drops at night. Put an otter on your neck for temperature regulation or a Jerboa as a backpack and you've got yourself a perfect world-traveling setup. Griffin's are absolutely fantastic 10/10.

Me personally, griffins are the best flyer in n the game, once you have tamed one you’ll never need another flyer.

You can finally breed them. I’m so happy.

Best place on Rag to find Griffins in the mouth of the river that runs through the canyon, right next to the swamp. At least 5 different spawns in this area, I've seen 3 in one spot before 😂😂 hope this helps anyone looking for a good taming spot!
